Step back in time to a remote wilderness experience at Kenai Backcountry Lodge. A favorite among adventurous couples and groups wanting to get out in nature for some amazing hiking, this lodge offers a remote and intimate feel to all who visit.
The property offers nine cozy cabins with some added creature comforts. A small hydroelectric system allows for minimal impact on the environment while still allowing for some electricity in this remote location. The guest cabins offer a small group atmosphere at all times and a light footprint. Each guest cabin includes en-suite bathrooms with heated water and lodge-style furnishings with linens, comforters, and propane heaters and lights. Guided activities, all meals, and round trip transportation from either Cooper Landing or Anchorage are included in the stay.
All meals are prepared in the main lodge and dining room. Guided adventures are typically planned out for the day over a hot breakfast. A four-course meal served family-style is always a welcome and restful way to end the day's adventures. Relax by the bonfire with a glass of wine or a beer or unwind in the wood-fired sauna to relax to close each wonderful day in Alaska.
Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
Very well ececuted. Hily recomended. Great experiance

I've worked with Adventure Life before in planning trips and appreciate the quality of trips they put together. They use knowledgeable local guides, comfortable lodgings, and assist with transportation. I find trip planning stressful, so am happy to turn it over to them. They work within our parameters of time, budget, activity level, and types of activities to give us great experiences!

We have been working with Adventure Life for 5 years now and it is very easy to plan out our trips. Our holidays include customization of activities and side trips along with the standard packages available on the Adventure Life website. Kevin, Jess, Mary Rose and their teams have many recommendations that have enhanced our travel.

We went to the Patagonia on the Chile side and Perito Moreno in El Calafate, Argentina. Eric of San Diego handled our trip with expertise. The preparation went smoothly, despite some changes on our part with scheduling conflicts. He offered great advice which made us feel at ease with all decisions on the trip. It was truly a great experience.
