Day 1: Arrive in Quito

Design your perfect half-day in Quito.  This tour provides a 6-hour exploration of Quito, with the option to choose two engaging experiences based on your specific preferences, all with private transportation and a private guide. Customize your tour of the first UNESCO World Heritage city by selecting from these activities:

City Tour: Begin your adventure in Ecuador by discovering Quito, a city filled with history, art, and impressive architecture. Walk through narrow streets, visit ancient churches, and take in panoramic views. Your guide reveals the hidden treasures of Quito while sharing fascinating stories and cultural insights, giving you a comprehensive look at the city’s past and present.

Equator Line: Capture an iconic photo standing in both hemispheres at the equator. Learn about the ancient civilizations that understood their place at the Earth’s midpoint long before modern science. Explore a village inside a volcanic crater, and take in stunning scenery while absorbing interesting facts about Ecuador’s unique location.

Cable Car Ride: Ride the Teleferico to a height of 4,000 meters. Glide above the city for sweeping views of Quito and its surrounding mountains. At the top, enjoy panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys that showcase the landscape of the Andes.

Artisanal Market & Neighborhoods: Explore Quito’s modern side by wandering through the streets of Floresta and Mariscal. Admire local art, murals, and a blend of traditional and contemporary architecture. Visit the bustling Artisanal Market, where over 100 local vendors offer unique handcrafted items. Bargain for souvenirs and discover the local culture in this vibrant setting.

Local Market & Chocolate Tour: Step into a lively local market, rich with colors, smells, and flavors. Engage with local vendors and get a taste of Quito’s daily life. Continue by learning how cacao is transformed into chocolate in a hands-on chocolate-making experience, complete with tastings along the way.

Botanical Garden & Vivarium: Visit Quito’s Botanical Garden, home to 18,000 species, including over 4,000 orchids. Relax in nature without leaving the city. Then, head to the Vivarium to encounter reptiles and amphibians, and discover Ecuador's rich biodiversity through interactive displays and engaging exhibits.

Museums Tour: Pick from a range of museums offering themes from archaeology to history, art, and numismatics. Your guide provides expert commentary to deepen your understanding of Ecuador’s rich cultural heritage. Tailor the experience to your interests for a truly personalized museum exploration.

Casa Agave: Dive into the world of agave-based spirits at Casa Agave. Tour the garden, museum, and distillery, where ancient techniques meet modern craftsmanship. Sample various agave products and learn about the cultural significance of this versatile plant in Ecuador’s traditions.
