Day 1: Arrive in Quito

Explore the city of Quito, even if you only have a few hours!  Choose your favorite option from a variety of immersive tours designed to match your interests, all within a 3-hour window led by a passionate local guide eager to share their city. Customize your experience and discover one of the first cities to be named a UNESCO World Heritage site. Select one activity from the following options:

City Tour – Begin your Ecuadorian adventure by exploring a city rich in history, art, and architecture. Wander through narrow streets, admire church domes, and take in beautiful viewpoints. The knowledgeable guides will reveal hidden treasures and share stories, giving you a deeper understanding of the city and its culture.

Equator – Stand in both hemispheres at once in the country that takes its name from the Equator. Capture memorable photos and learn about ancient knowledge, scientific phenomena, and the culture of those who lived near the Middle of the World. Enjoy views of a town located inside a volcanic crater, making for an unforgettable experience.

Cable Car – Quito, the world’s highest capital, lies nestled between mountains. Ride the Teleferico up the Pichincha Volcano, reaching 4,000 meters above sea level. As you ascend, enjoy panoramic views of the city. At the summit, marvel at snow-covered mountains and valleys, gaining a unique perspective of Quito's geography.

Artisanal Market & Traditional Neighborhoods – Dive into the cultural vibrancy of modern Quito by visiting traditional neighborhoods like Floresta and Mariscal. Stroll past murals, historic buildings, and lively streets. Shop for unique souvenirs at the Artisanal Market, where over 100 local vendors offer handmade treasures.

Local Market & Chocolate Experience – Discover Quito’s vibrant local market, filled with colorful produce, spices, and crafts. Engage with local vendors as you explore. Then, embark on a chocolate adventure, learning the process of transforming cacao beans into delicious bars. Savor the tastings as you immerse yourself in Quito’s rich culinary heritage.

Botanical Garden & Vivarium – Escape to nature in the heart of the city at Quito’s Botanical Garden. Explore over 18,000 plant species, including 4,000 orchids. Visit the Vivarium, home to reptiles and amphibians, and learn about the country's diverse ecosystems in a fun, educational setting.

Museums – Tailor your visit by selecting from a range of museums that highlight topics such as archaeology, history, art, and nature. With a private guide, explore the exhibits of your choice and dive deep into Ecuador’s rich cultural history.
