Established in 1951, Camp Denali is Alaska’s original wilderness vacation lodge. Since 1975, it has been owned and operated by the Cole and Hamm families, offering an authentic Alaskan experience. The 19 rustic cabins, accommodating 1 to 6 guests, are appointed in traditional Alaskan style, complete with wood stoves, propane hot plates, handcrafted quilts, and locally crafted artwork. A short 2 to 7-minute uphill walk from the cabins leads to the dining hall and the historic log lodge by Nugget Pond, where guests can relax after a day of adventure. Hot showers are available in the nearby shower building, ensuring comfort in the wild.
A natural history resource center is open for guests, featuring a dissecting microscope, herbarium, library, and animal artifacts to deepen your understanding of the area's rich natural heritage. Daily activities focus on natural history, with skilled leaders guiding hikes and wildlife encounters.

Duration: 4-6 hours
Experience the diverse terrain of Alaska on moderate guided hikes, where you’ll traverse trail-less tundra, navigate around tundra ponds rich with birds and wild berries, and climb alpine hills for expansive views. Expect over-the-ankle stream crossings, rocky footing, and unimproved trails.
