Camp Denali is a full-service, fly-in wilderness lodge located deep inside the heart of Denali National Park. Nineteen guest cabins are privately nestled along a tundra and boreal forest ridgeline, each with direct and picture-window views of Denali and the Alaskan Range. Thanks to its history and stewardship legacy, Camp Denali is unique among operators in Denali in their ability to travel back along the Park Road for daily backcountry hiking and wildlife observation all led by a staff of knowledgeable naturalist guides. Additional activities include canoeing on nearby Wonder Lake, biking along the secluded Park Road, and fishing. Throughout their summer season, Camp Denali also invites specialists to share their expertise with guests, both in the field and through evening presentations. Well-known author, illustrator, and ornithologist, David Sibley, visual artist, Klara Maisch, and filmmaker, Chad Brown, are just a few speakers scheduled for the 2025 season. Camp Denali remains what its founders envisioned over 70 years ago, a place that doesn’t insulate you from the wilderness you came to explore.

Today you will fly into the heart of Denali National Park. To optimize availability for weather-related schedule changes for the flight into Camp Denali, it's strongly recommended you travel to the park entrance at least one day before flying to Camp Denali and overnight locally. Talk to your Trip Planner about the best options.
You'll be given a specific time to report to the Camp Denali office at the private airfield of Denali Air, near the east entrance to the park. Camp Denali staff will welcome you, weigh your luggage, and help store any excess luggage. Here you'll meet other lodge guests and relax while awaiting your flight to Camp Denali. When it's time, enjoy a scenic flight into Kantishna, at the far end of the 93-mile park road. From the Kantishna airfield, you will travel a couple of miles to Camp Denali, established along a ridge above Moose Creek, and with fantastic views of Denali itself. Settle in, and get oriented to the way this "adult summer camp" works. Enjoy a fabulous dinner and enjoy the sunset from the big, wide windows of the lodge.
Join naturalist guides to remote valleys and tundra-covered ridges where you can take the time to observe the tundra and wildlife of the region. Learn about the ecosystem here, including its biology, geology, sub-arctic ecology, birdlife and history. Each morning a complementary set of guided excursions for differing levels of ability. Hike a nearby summit ridgeline, or try to spot ground-nesting birds and flowers in a valley. Each day visits a different region of the park, offering varied scenery and experiences each day you are here. Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

I don’t have the words to describe it but the last week has been one of the best I can remember. 6 days of adventure in South East Alaska including trekking through lush rain forest, sitting in silence listening to glaciers calving, up early to see the northern lights, kayaking and stupidly swimming in iceberg frozen waters ! (That actually hurt).
Animal sightings including black and brown bears, Minke and hundreds of Humpack Whales, porpoises, sea lions, mountain goats, harbour seals, bald eagles, salmon and more birds than I can count. Wonderful friends and connections made. A huge shout out to Trevor and his totally amazing crew on the Admiralty Dream whose energy and enthusiasm made this most incredible experience.

From the initial booking all the way through the trip, this was by far our favorite trip. Small boat travel is the only way to see a location. The excursions were so much more than I could explain. The locations were remote and awesome.
