Visiting Croatia on a cruise takes you to ports of call where the romance of Dubrovnik, finding the birthplace of Marco Polo on Korcula Island, discovering the history of sunny Hvar, and wandering the beaches of Bol puts you in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Spring, Summer, and Fall are the best times to visit Croatia, Summer is the high season when things are hot and crowded, and spring and fall are the shoulder seasons when the weather is still great but there are fewer people traveling.

We spent a week aboard MS La Belle de L'Adriatique cruising the sunny Adriatic coastline. Starting in the Croatian port city of Dubrovnik, we sailed north to Šibenik, Korčula, Hvar and Split before heading south to Montenegro's medieval town of Kotor. We enjoyed sunny weather, delicious foods and stunning historical sites.

The temperate climate of the Mediterranean makes it a delightful destination to visit on a luxury cruise. Coupled with explorations of historic cities and archaeological sites and plenty of active day excursions, from swimming and snorkeling in turquoise waters to hiking and biking around the ancient ruins and rolling valleys, you don’t have to travel beyond the ports to find a world of adventure.
