Day 1: Arrive in Faa'a, Tahiti

Welcome to Tahiti, where paradise awaits you! As you arrive at Faa'a International Airport, a dedicated and friendly representative will be there to extend a warm Tahitian greeting.

Once you arrive at your luxurious bungalow, explore the resort at your own pace, taking in the vibrant colors of tropical flora and the soothing sounds of the Pacific.

Discover the lush beauty of Tahiti, where you will find a haven where comfort and tranquility converge. Take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views surrounding your new vacation home and inhale the fragrant tropical air.

Day 2: Papeno'o Valley | Tahiti Island Activities - 4WD Tour

After a delicious breakfast at the resort, be ready for a guided island tour to explore the natural wonders of Tahiti. This experience is an introduction to the heart of the island of Tahiti in a comfortable 4WD vehicle. Your guide of the day shares information about the flora of the island and the use of plants in medicinal traditions, talks about the valley's flora and fauna, teaches about the island's geological history, and tells the stories and legends of long-age Tahitian chiefdoms. During the exploration, stop at natural pools and rivers for swimming. Eventually, the tour ends at the legendary "Lake Vaihiria," home to the sacred eel that brought the coconut tree to life. The breathtaking viewpoints are only going to make this experience vivid and colorful.

This itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions. The departure time is approximately 8:30 in the morning, and there is a roundtrip transfer from the hotel to Papeno'o Valley. The approximate length of the excursion is 4 hours for the half-day with a minimum of 2 guests for shared and private tours. The return time is 2:00 in the afternoon. If you wish for a full-day experience, please request this from your Adventure Life Trip Planner.

Day 3: Tahiti Island Activities | Ferry transfer to Moorea

Start your day with a delicious American breakfast at the resort, sampling tropical fruits and Tahitian pastries. Take some time to independently explore the lively Papeete Market, experience the local way of life, and purchase some unique souvenirs. To discover more about Polynesia's rich history and customs, visit the Museum of Tahiti and Her Islands. Relax on the sand beaches and spend time at your private beach that offers snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding before your ferry journey to Moorea.

Upon arrival at the ferry dock, a friendly representative will assist you and transfer you to your beautiful resort. In the middle of paradise, let yourself be charmed by the exquisite décor, intriguing flavors, and exceptional refinement. Located along the most beautiful white sand beach on the island, the colors of the lagoons and the Polynesian hospitality will ensure you a magnificent stay. Moorea is a tropical wonderland of lush green rainforests, magical lagoons, and awe-inspiring mountains rising in the Pacific Ocean. Located on the beautiful beach of Temae, the longest on the island, the Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea is just 5 minutes from the Vaiare Ferry Dock and 5 minutes from the Temae Airport.

Day 4: Moorea Island Activities - TAMA'A Street Foodie Tour

Step into the slippers of a local and snack your way around Moorea! "Tama'a," the Tahitian word for "eating," perfectly captures what you will be doing when you explore Moorea. During your culinary tour, you will sample and see authentic, locally discovered foods with distinctive flavors that the locals enjoy. The food on the islands consists of three cultures: Tahitian, Chinese, and French. During the Tama'a Street Food Tour, you will search for hidden culinary gems from every one of these cultures.

Examples of tasting available, depending on the season and availabilities: local seasonal fruits Mape (local chestnut), fresh coconut water, Casse-route Chao Mein, fresh tuna “Poisson cru”/raw fish with coconut milk (our national dish), Ma’a Tinito (another local favorite from the Chinese influences: pork, beans, noodles, veggies), Pai (local fruit pie or meat pie), Reti’a (like a local gelatin mochi), Bouchon (dumplings), coconut milk making, coconut bread with jam tasting, Ipo, juice and liquor tasting at the Rotui factory, artisan ice cream made in Moorea.

On this day, the departure time is approximately 8:30 in the morning, and there is a roundtrip transfer from the Sofitel Kia Beach Resort. The approximate length of the excursion is between 4 and 5 hours for a half-day tour, with a minimum of 2 guests for shared tours.

Day 5: Moorea Island Activities - Nature and Culture Excursion

After breakfast at the resort, enjoy a guided half-day nature and cultural tour in Moorea. Soak in Ā’amu (legends), ancient history, filmography, traditional Peu (customs), flora, and fauna right in the center of exquisite sites. Among these locations would be the well-known Belvedere, which offers a stunning view of the upscale bays of Cook and Opunohu, the crater of the volcano. Here, the world-famous movie 'The Bounty', starring Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins, was shot. This small village is ancient with archeological sites and an agricultural high school with its tropical fruit garden. Enjoy a refreshing tasting at the "Rotui" fruit juice factory, where you can sip on locally made alcoholic beverages and fresh fruit juice. This tour offers the ideal balance of leisure, fun, taking pictures, learning about the local environment and culture, and experiencing a distinctive Fa'ahopura'a (immersion) that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you speechless.

On this day, the departure time is approximately 8:00 in the morning, and there is a roundtrip transfer from the Sofitel Kia Beach Resort. The approximate length of the excursion is between 4 and 5 hours, with a minimum of 2 to 8 guests for shared tours.

Day 6: Fly to Bora Bora

After breakfast, you can relax at the resort or indulge in a spa day to rejuvenate before your flight to Bora Bora.

Upon arrival at Bora Bora Airport, a friendly representative will assist you and transfer you to your beautiful resort. Enjoy a relaxing day at the resort in your overwater bungalow, taking in the stunning views of the turquoise lagoon.

The InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort is an intimate, relaxing 4-star resort situated on the southernmost point of Bora Bora, close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stylish overwater bungalows stretch out over the lagoon, with the peaks of Otemanu and Pahia rising in the distance, making it the perfect romantic destination for honeymooners and couples seeking an exotic getaway.

Day 7: Bora Bora Island Activities - Polynesian Day

Bora Bora is an ancient volcano on one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons. It offers infinite shades of blue, from the most translucent to the deepest. Shaded by coconut trees and surrounded by an emerald and fishy lagoon, the Motu (islets) of white sand beaches. The harmony of the decor is perfect. Enjoy a motorized Polynesian cruise around the lagoon and explore open aquariums filled with a diverse range of fish. Your guide will take you to the best location for snorkeling. You will also be taken closer to the reef in shallow waters to observe and swim with the eagle rays.

One of the highlights of this experience is undoubtedly going beyond the reef, where you will be greeted by larger fish, lemon sharks, and sea turtles. During the full-day experience, the tour is extended on one of the dreamy private islands for a tasty lunch, feet in the water. The rest of the day will go as you please: walks on the beach, snorkeling, shell picking, crafts, etc. This “Polynesian Day” experience is highly recommended!

On this day, the departure time is 9:00 in the morning, and there is a roundtrip transfer from your beach resort. The approximate length of the excursion is 6 hours for a full-day tour, with a minimum of 2 guests for shared tours and a maximum of 12 guests for shared or private tours. If preferred, you can request a private experience from your Adventure Life Trip Planner.

Day 8: Free Day: Bora Bora Island Activities

After your leisurely breakfast, enjoy a relaxing morning at the resort, taking in the stunning views of the turquoise water of Bora Bora. Take a boat tour independently around the island and engage in water activities such as paddleboarding or kayaking in the crystal-clear waters.

Day 9: Fly to Tahiti | Return Home

  • 1 Breakfast
Spend your last morning in Bora Bora at leisure, perhaps enjoying a spa treatment or a quiet beach walk. Take a final dip in the lagoon or lounge on the beach before checking out. Catch a flight back to Tahiti or your next destination, bidding farewell to the paradise of Bora Bora.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
