Day 1: Arrive Cape Town

Arrive Cape Town, South Africa on the flight of your choice. Airport assistance will meet you just outside the aircraft and escort you through immigration, baggage collection, and customs. Transfer to the Cape Grace, your home for the next 4 nights. Enjoy the amazing hospitality and prime waterfront location while you explore Cape Town. Dinner tonight is on your own. Dine in the hotel restaurant or venture to the V&A Waterfront and choose from one of several eateries in the area.

Day 2: Cape Town City Tour

Explore the "Mother City", Cape Town, South Africa today on a private tour of the city! Visit the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (South Africa's oldest building), Greenmarket Square, the Company Gardens, and Table Mountain. After an exciting morning of discovery you will be dropped off at the Waterfront to take in all the shops and restaurants. Explore the area independently this afternoon.

Day 3: Robben Island

This morning is yours to relax and spend as you would like. Stroll the beaches of Cape Town, go shopping, or explore one of many local attractions in the area. Make your way to the Clock Tower for your departure to Robben Island. (You should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your departure time). Disembark at Murray's Bay Harbor on the east coast of the island and take a short walk to buses that will transport you to all the historical sites around the island. Meet your tour guide upon boarding the buses. Take a prison tour conducted by a Robben Island tour guide who will discuss the island's multi-layered 500-year-old history. Discover the graveyard of people who died of leprosy, the Lime Quarry, Robert Sobukwe's house, the Bluestone quarry, the army and navy bunkers, and the maximum security prison where thousands of South Africa's freedom fighters were incarcerated for years. End your tour with a viewing of Nelson Mandela's cell.

Note: Your Robben Island tour will be scheduled according to availability. Tours run at the following times: 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, and 3PM.

Day 4: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

After being picked up from your hotel this morning, travel along the picturesque Antlantic Seaboard and on to Hout Bay, a quaint seaside village with magnificent mountain views. Continue onto Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the world's most spectacular coastal drives towards the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. Enjoy the dramatic clash of the seas from the viewpoint before heading to historic Simons Town, home to a growing colony of the protected African penguin at beautiful Boulders Beach. Explore on foot to view these penguins in their natural habitat. End the day with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Garden, founded in 1913 in an effort to preserve South Africa's unique flora. Arrive back at your hotel and enjoy dinner on your own.

Note: A lunch stop can be arranged with your guide en-route to Simons Town. Please inquire for options. 

Day 5-6: Cape Town to Kruger National Park

This morning you transfer back to the Cape Town International Airport in time for your flight to Kruger National Park. Kruger is home to cheetahs, leopards, lions, hyenas, zebra, and wild dogs, as well as kudu, eland, sable antelope, and impala. Other sightings on this amazing safari experience include white rhino, elephant, hippo, giraffe, and buffalo! Settle in for a night of luxury at the Royal Malewane. 

Day 7-8: Kruger National Park

Discover private reserves around Kruger National Park at 2 different camps during your exploration, increasing the variety of possible game sightings. Kruger National Park and private land owners adjacent to the park, have been working towards the conservation of the Big 5 since the 1950's. Explore by safari vehicle, by foot, or speak to your travel consultant about a hot air balloon ride or other safari options.

*Each day you will have the option to participate in 2 games drives and a bush walk.

*This safari includes a shuttle flight between lodges

Day 9: Depart

Take a quick flight from your lodge to Johannesburg to connect with your flight home, or continue on with an extension to Victoria Fall, Chobe National Park, or Mozambique!
