Activity options vary depending on destination and operator. Activity level is determined by the range and intensity of activities you choose to participate in. Discuss with your Trip Planner which options are best for you.
Check in at Tolkeyen Patagonia Turismo, Av. San Martín 409, Ushuaia, Argentina, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Boarding begins at 6:00 PM.
After boarding, head to the fifth deck for a welcome toast and an introduction to the Captain and crew. The ship will depart immediately, sailing south through the Beagle Channel and the Strait of Magellan, navigating Patagonia and the waterways of Tierra del Fuego.
Navigate the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park. If weather allows, go ashore to explore one of the world's southernmost points.
In the afternoon, land at Wulaia Bay, once home to a large Yagan settlement. Hike through the Magellanic forest, passing lengas, coigües, canelos, and ferns, before reaching a scenic viewpoint.
In the morning, sail along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel to enter and disembark in the Pia Fjord. Hike to the viewpoint from where you will see the homonymous glacier, whose main peak extends from the top of the mountain range to the sea. During the afternoon, embark on a Zodiac boat navigation excursion, without disembarking from the Zodiac boats. Advance between high rocky walls to reach, at the end of them, the imposing Porter Glacier and be able to contemplate it face to face.
Early in the morning, sail through the Cockburn Channel and enter Agostini Sound. From there it is possible to see the glaciers that descend from the middle of the Darwin Mountain Range, some of them reaching the water. This morning, disembark and go for an easy walk around a lagoon, which was formed by the melting of the Águila Glacier. Reach a spot right in front of that glacier with stunning views. In the afternoon, approach the Condor Glacier via Zodiac, and hopefully see some of the abundant Andean condors in the area.
Day 5: Magdalena Island | Punta Arenas | Disembarkation
Disembark at Magdalena Island first thing in the morning if weather conditions are suitable. On the island, you will be able to see a colony of Magellanic penguins. This excursion is replaced by a landing on Marta Island in September and April, where South American sea lions can be sighted from Zodiac boats. Then, you will arrive in Punta Arenas, disembarking at approximately 12:30 hrs.
*Camera extension poles are prohibited on Magdalena Island.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
