Akorn Destination Management is the world's most comprehensive network of high-quality DMCs.Founded in Kenya in 1962, Akorn has been a pioneer of luxury safaris in East Africa. Today their operations have expanded to a network of over 55 offices and 2,500 employees on the ground in more than 30 countries. Yet, while Akorn has grown and diversified, they have remained true to its core philosophies: uncompromising service and inspiring travel experiences.
A deep-rooted concern for responsible travel infuses each and every Akorn-organised journey. For more than 25 years, we have worked passionately to ensure that the people and wildlife whose lands we visit continue to survive and coexist successfully.
From the first project in 1982 to raise funds for conservation efforts in Kenya’s Masai Mara, to more recently providing essential assistance to the people of Myanmar’s Irrawaddy Delta after the area was devastated by Cyclone Nargis – Akorn is committed to supporting social and environmental projects on a global scale.
With offices in over 25 countries, we are able to work in conjunction with local experts to actively sponsor proven grassroots projects that benefit local communities and habitats, as well as offer Akorn agents and their clients the opportunity to become involved in these efforts.
This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
