Step aboard a 5-star deluxe Nile cruise boat, docked privately in Aswan, and experience a vibrant Zaffa welcome with drums and flutes.
Savor a delightful lunch on board before setting sail on a traditional felucca, gliding around Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Life jackets are provided, and the excursion is weather-dependent.
Unwind in the lounge with afternoon tea while listening to the soothing melodies of an Oud trio. In the evening, meet the Boat Manager and indulge in a selection of canapés paired with complimentary Egyptian wine and local beer. Conclude the day with a gourmet dinner served on board.
Start the day with a delicious breakfast buffet on board before taking a short motorboat ride to the breathtaking Philae Temple on Agilika Island.
Continue with a visit to the ancient Granite Quarries, where massive stones were sourced for pyramids and temples. See the impressive unfinished obelisk, a testament to Egypt’s architectural ingenuity.
Enjoy a delightful lunch while cruising toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, relax with tea on board before exploring the magnificent Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek.
End the evening with a flavorful dinner, followed by a movie night under the stars.
A breakfast buffet will be served on board while the boat sails to Edfu. Spend the morning visiting the Edfu Temple. After sightseeing in the morning, the boat will sail to Luxor. Lunch will be served on board, followed by an Egyptian cooking lesson.
Following afternoon tea on board, your Egyptologist will guide you around the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor, dedicated to the god Amun.
Tonight will feature an “Egyptian Night” costume party for all guests, with an opportunity to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya.” Dinner will be a lavish buffet of Egyptian specialties, accompanied by oriental music and dancing.
This morning, visit the Valley of the Kings and explore at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens. Then, tour the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. On your way back to the Nile River, pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.
After lunch, your Egyptologist will guide you through the Temple of Karnak.
Return to your boat, where afternoon tea will be served in the lounge. Tonight’s entertainment features a gala dinner with white-gloved waiters serving gourmet cuisine, followed by a Dervish Show and a belly dancer performance.

Accommodation Information
- Sun Boat IV has 34 Cabins, 2 Presidential Suites and 2 Royal Suites. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential and Royal Suites.
- Nile Adventure has 26 Cabins, 2 Junior suites and 2 Presidential. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential.
Single Occupancy
All single occupancy bookings are subject to the single rates listed.
Children Policy
Children aged 10 and over are welcome on board all Sanctuary boats. Children aged 15 and younger are required to share a cabin with at least one adult.
Child Rates
One child aged up to and including 15 years sharing a Nile Deck Cabin, Presidential Suite or Royal Suite with two adults pays the child rate listed for Sanctuary Sun Boat IV. On all other occasions children pay the adult rate.
Initial deposit is 20% non-refundable, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card.
Final payment is due 70 days prior to departure by bank transfer, check or credit card. All final payments by credit card may be subject to a surcharge and maximum of $20,000 charge
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
