Tour picturesque neighborhoods, dynamic cities, and colorful ports
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Blending the dynamism of a capital city and the quality of life of a small town, Copenhagen offers you its picturesque neighborhoods and its colorful quaysides - an astute blend of softness, elegance and vitality.
Today's optional tour begins in Vik, which is an old settlement rich in tradition and in earlier times a religious center. Visit 12th century Hopperstad Stave Church with its dragon head decorations. Make a brief photo stop at the beautiful Tvinne waterfall and Vikafjellet Mountain Road before descending into Mørkdalen (the dark valley) where there is a big production of goat cheese on the scattered summer farms. Eat lunch in Voss, a charming village with an important tourist industry. Thereafter ride the Bergen Railway, which connects Bergen with Oslo, and see massive mountains, breathtaking drops, and gushing rivers and waterfalls. Change trains to the Flåm Railway, which takes you down 2700 feet to sea level in 45 minutes. End your tour in Flåm, a small village on the Aurlandsfjord. Note that this tour involves walking on flat grass and gravel paths - comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
The trip was planned well. They worked through local travel planners in the two countries we visited. The trip planner was fairly knowledgable, but she could have been better. The hotels selected were good. There were a few things I think they could have planned better related tot he transportation between the carious locations we visited, but it was a great trip overall.

Excellent experience within the limits of what they can do. I often find myself as the square peg in a round hole being largely an independent traveler who appreciates qualify assistance when I can get it. Having used Adventure Life in places they can do about everything I know they're quality and look to them when and where I can. Kassandra specifically is knowledgeable, personable and respinsive.
