Day 1: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria | Embark

This 15th-century city, known for its semitropical colonial charm, is a popular stop for yachts crossing the Atlantic. Visit Casa de Colon, named after the famous explorer, and embark on your own adventure to the volcanic crater of Caldera de Bandama. Its rugged terrain and unique vegetation create an otherworldly landscape.

Day 2: Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura

Puerto del Rosario, the capital of Fuerteventura, features whitewashed houses and open-air artworks, including giant snail sculptures along the harbor promenade. It is a gateway to attractions like the Islote de Lobos Nature Reserve. For those seeking adventure, Fuerteventura is a top destination for windsurfing, renowned worldwide for its ideal sailing conditions.

Day 3: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalizing spa (Royal Clipper only), and a peaceful library.

Day 4: Safi, Morocco

Safi is an industrial center and thriving port. Most tourists use it as a base to take excursions or explore the old town. Here, you may be tempted to buy pottery typical of this part of the region.

Day 5: Casablanca, Morocco

Long before Ingrid Bergman and Bogie made Casablanca a symbol of romance, the city was famous for intrigue and mystery. Veiled by overlapping mantles of French, Arabian, and African culture, Casablanca reveals new faces at every turn. The enormous Hassan II Mosque (holding 70,000 worshippers) is the new Morocco, while the fanciful Mauresque buildings in the Medina impart visions of pre-war Casablanca.

Day 6: Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland on Spain's south coast. It's dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. The Cable Car is one of the ways to the Top of the Rock and a must-see attraction for all visitors to Gibraltar. The view is spectacular; you can watch the island's famous apes. A lesser-known wildlife attraction is the dolphins leaping in the sparkling waters of Gibraltar Bay. Whole families of dolphins visit the bay, and the chances of seeing them are good.

Day 7: Malaga, Spain

Malaga's fortress palace of the Alcazaba and the Castillo de Gibralfaro are splendid examples of Moorish architecture. But it is in Granada that you can see the most romantic and magnificent expression of the Arabesque style in the glorious Alhambra Palace.

Day 8: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalizing spa (Royal Clipper only), and a peaceful library.

Day 9: Ibiza

Ibiza is where people hang out because, except for the medieval walls, you could think it was the Med's version of Key West. But away from the hustle of town, some lovely beaches await.

Day 10: Mahon, Menorca

Gracious Georgian buildings that climb the steep hills backing the Moll Ponent. Mahon's heritage also includes the invention of mayonnaise and the first gin distillation from juniper berries.

Day 11: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalizing spa (Royal Clipper only), and a peaceful library.

Day 12: Fontvieille, Monaco

Monaco is the fabled domain of princes and movie stars. The magnificent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos remind you of an elegant, pre-war era. With more wealth concentrated in one small area than almost any place on earth, this tiny principality retains its gilt-edged allure.

Day 13: Cannes, France | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
