Nice captivates with its blend of Mediterranean allure and sun-kissed beaches. Wander along the iconic Promenade des Anglais, immerse yourself in the old-world charm of Vieux Nice’s vibrant alleys and lively markets, and indulge in exquisite cuisine. With a pleasant climate year-round, Nice is the ideal retreat where French sophistication meets coastal beauty.
Percy Bysshe Shelley spent his final joyful days in the Villa Magni near Lerici before setting sail on his fateful voyage through stormy waters on July 8, 1822. Lord Byron, another literary figure tied to Lerici, famously swam across what is now known as the "Golfo dei Poeti." Nearby, the charming fishing villages of San Terenzo, Tellaro, Fiascherino, and Montemarcello offer a similar allure to the renowned Cinque Terre.
From his villa in Portoferraio, Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, looked out over the waiting ships in the harbor and dreamed of returning to glory. Enjoy a local vineyard tour, and near Portoferraio, discover the remains of an ancient Etruscan civilization.
Sant'Amanza is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island of Corsica. Located on its southernmost tip, it is surrounded by limestone cliffs, granite rocks, and scrub, with sands lapped by crystal-clear azure waters. It is a popular location for water sports, including kite surfing.
Bonifacio, a magnificent town in the far south of Corsica, is renowned for its spectacular medieval architecture, impressive limestone cliffs, and picturesque harbor. Nestling atop cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Bonifacio offers breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and neighboring islands.
Alghero is the main resort northwest of Sardinia and one of its most beautiful medieval cities. Its bustling historic center is packed with excellent bars and restaurants, making it a great place to hang out. It is also ideally placed for exploring the beaches of nearby Riviera del Corallo. Interestingly, a medieval Catalan is still spoken even though the Iberians left three centuries ago.
Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, is situated on the island's west coast and is a bustling port city with a relaxed atmosphere. It is known for its charming cobbled streets, relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Ajaccio offers a unique experience that combines history, nature, and gastronomy.
Monaco is the fabled domain of princes and movie stars. The magnificent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos remind you of an elegant, pre-war era. With more wealth concentrated in one small area than almost any place on earth, this tiny principality retains its gilt-edged allure.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
