Karen Blixen Camp is situated in the exclusive Mara North Conservancy of Kenya's Masai Mara. This permanent luxury tented camp features 22 ensuite tents, each strategically placed along the banks of the Mara River for optimal game viewing. The tents are outfitted with private facilities, shower, viewing deck and comfortable furnishings. The camp is a testament to the life and era of Karen Blixen, and guests can get a feel for the early 1920s while also enjoying modern amenities. The camp is accessible by both road and by air. 

Guests can arrange game drives, bush walks and hot air balloon safaris.

Luxury Tent
Each tent is en-suite and furnished with a large comfortable bed, Persian rugs, and a cozy armchair giving you the ultimate in camping luxury. The private bathroom has a flush toilet, twin wash hand basins, and a romantic outside shower with an amazing view of the sky. Water is heated using solar panels to avoid any use of firewood and thus conserving the Mara Woodlands. Electricity is provided in all tents 24 hours a day by an extended solar panel system and battery storing bank.

All tents are placed with an undisturbed view along the Mara River giving unique and private game viewing to the Oloololo Escarpment and its rich wildlife.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

Belize adventures I've worked with Adventure Life before in planning trips and appreciate the quality of trips they put together. They use knowledgeable local guides, comfortable lodgings, and assist with transportation. I find trip planning stressful, so am happy to turn it over to them. They work within our parameters of time, budget, activity level, and types of activities to give us great experiences!

We went to the Patagonia on the Chile side and Perito Moreno in El Calafate, Argentina. Eric of San Diego handled our trip with expertise. The preparation went smoothly, despite some changes on our part with scheduling conflicts. He offered great advice which made us feel at ease with all decisions on the trip. It was truly a great experience.
