Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Upon arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, a representative greets you and provides a brief overview of your safari. You'll then transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara.
Note: Baggage allowance is 15 Kgs /33Ibs in soft-sided bags. A fee for any excess baggage is charged by the airline at check-in.
Once you arrive, the camp's driver-guide welcomes you and takes you on your first safari en route to the camp. Then after checking in and receiving a briefing from the staff, you can enjoy a delicious lunch with views of hippos in the Mara River. After lunch, you can relax with a siesta, watch the hippos in the water or grazing along the riverbanks, spot birds through binoculars, or observe zebras coming to drink. Later in the afternoon, head out on a game drive in the conservancy. In the evening, gather around a campfire with fellow guests to share stories about the day's wildlife sightings.
You'll spend your time enjoying game drives in the conservancy. You can also visit the on-site cooking school, plant a tree, or join an "eco walk" to learn about the camp's environmental initiatives. A night game drive in the conservancy is another exciting option. For an additional cost, you can join a guide and armed ranger for a walking safari or take a relaxed nature walk around the camp to discover smaller animals and plant life. Dawn hot air balloon safaris over the Maasai Mara and visits to a local Maasai manyatta (village) can also be arranged.
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy an early breakfast. Then, head out on a full-day safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve to search for the Big Five, with a picnic lunch included. You’ll return to camp in the late afternoon.
