Our good friends live near the northern Bavarian village of Schweinfurt. Like many Bavarian towns, they have a free WildPark full of family friendly activities- multiple playgrounds, a wading pool, miniature golf and wildlife from the area. Germany places a high priority on families, and this focus is evident everywhere from supermarket parking places for parents with young children to paid paternity leave (often a year or more) to these sorts of free parks. In the course of a long afternoon, we only managed to cover a small fraction of the park that also offers miles and miles of forested trails for further exploration.
After a day at the park, we returned to our friends' home for a traditional Bavarian BBQ with a variety of sausages, other meats and salads.
Adventure Life seems to be an honest company and has been quite helpful in the planning process. Good about answering questions.
