Arrive in Mainz early in the morning. Set off on a guided tour on foot of the Mainz Cathedral and its museum. The three-nave cathedral is predominantly Romanesque in architecture, but later additions over many centuries resulted in the different influences seen today. This cathedral is one of the finest examples of High Romanesque architecture in Germany. Return on board in the evening and remain in port overnight.

Dominated by its red sandstone castle perched above, the city has preserved its unequaled charm. Return on board in Speyer. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour on foot of Speyer and its cathedral. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this cathedral has maintained the overall form and dimensions of the original 11th-century Romanesque structure. Its design sets the standard for the many of the churches built in the Rhineland. Return on board in the evening and cruise to Strasbourg during the night.

Everything was amazing! The planning with Adventure Life went smoothly. The actual trip was fantastic! One of the best trips I have experienced. The cruise staff members were knowledgeable and attentive. I will be writing more about this on the blog!

My travel planner, Jeff, who is on top of his field (based on travel industry awards), is a highly professional, very effective and, at the same time, personally nice individual. What was also critical to me is that he has a first hand experience traveling in the region that I am going to.
On top of that, the customer relations director, Sarah, has personally followed up to make sure I'm happy.
