The Douglas Mawson, Aurora Expeditions' new small ship, is designed for global exploration. The inaugural itineraries include East Antarctica, which departs from Hobart, as well as immersive Subantarctic Islands explorations.

The Douglas Mawson, which is equipped with the newest Ulstein X-BOW®, offers stability on ocean crossings and reduces fuel consumption. You can enjoy onboard amenities like a heated pool, Jacuzzis, and sauna. With leading technology and Zodiac access points, it's built for adventure. The ship offers 11 different cabin types, including single berths, and multiple observation areas that provide panoramic views.

The largest of all our rooms, the singular Captain's Suite will take you to the polar regions in ultimate style and comfort. Complete with large lounge area, balcony, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite, you'll need to get in early to secure this suite.
