Watch for brown bears, caribou & moose as you travel through the park
Walk to Fannie Quigley's restored pioneer cabin
Hiking, fishing, biking, and flightseeing options available
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Your Denali adventure will begin with a helicopter flight to Kantishna, in the heart of the park. You will meet for orientation in the late morning, and flights (weather dependent) will commence in the early afternoon. The 30-minute helicopter ride certainly includes photo opportunities - look out for wildlife, glaciers and views of North America's highest peak, Denali. Upon arrival at Kantishna, transfer a couple of miles by bus to the lodge and enjoy a hearty dinner at Denali Backcountry lodge before settling into your cabin.
**With a late-morning orientation today, most travelers will need to have spent the previous night at a hotel near the Denali entrance. Access to Denali can be gained via Anchorage or Fairbanks - using rental car, Park Connection bus or the Alaskan Railroad - but all of these will entail a 4-6 hour commute. Please contact us for specific logistical details and assistance.
These days are free for you to explore all that this remote location has to offer. Enjoy morning yoga or take a shuttle to nearby Wonder Lake for fishing or hiking. Mountain bikes are also available for guests to use as they explore the area, or set out on one of the guided naturalist hikes offered by the lodge. Spa treatments and flightseeing tours are also options for an additional fee. The days are yours to explore Denali National Park how you wish!
Day 4: Return to Denali Entrance
1 Breakfast
Enjoy a final morning by Moose Creek, then join the helicopter in Kantishna for the ride back to the east side of the park in the early afternoon.
**With these helicopter flights so contingent on weather, travelers must have flexibility in their onward travel, back toward Anchorage or Fairbanks. travelers who left a rental car on the east side of the park for the last several days can likely move on to Anchorage or Fairbanks this evening. travelers who are looking to use the Park Connection bus or the Alaska Railroad will need to add another hotel night outside the park entrance. Please contact us for specific logistical details and assistance.

Everything was amazing! The planning with Adventure Life went smoothly. The actual trip was fantastic! One of the best trips I have experienced. The cruise staff members were knowledgeable and attentive. I will be writing more about this on the blog!

I don’t have the words to describe it but the last week has been one of the best I can remember. 6 days of adventure in South East Alaska including trekking through lush rain forest, sitting in silence listening to glaciers calving, up early to see the northern lights, kayaking and stupidly swimming in iceberg frozen waters ! (That actually hurt).
Animal sightings including black and brown bears, Minke and hundreds of Humpack Whales, porpoises, sea lions, mountain goats, harbour seals, bald eagles, salmon and more birds than I can count. Wonderful friends and connections made. A huge shout out to Trevor and his totally amazing crew on the Admiralty Dream whose energy and enthusiasm made this most incredible experience.

From the initial booking all the way through the trip, this was by far our favorite trip. Small boat travel is the only way to see a location. The excursions were so much more than I could explain. The locations were remote and awesome.
