Western Islands, Galapagos, Jan 2024An excellent trip. It exceeded my expectations. The planning and arrangements by Adventure Life were flawless. The accommodations in Quito and the Bella Vista Cloud Forest Reserve were a great fit for my taste - local, clean and simple. The airport and excursion transfers were prompt and friendly.
Jonathon, my transfer driver from and back to the airport was exceptional! He was friendly, professional, and very helpful getting me through the additional security at Quito airport. He also was reassuring concerning the political unrest that was occurring at the time. A special thanks to Jonathan!

Cambodia to Indonesia!, Jan 2024The travel planning by Adventure Life was flawless. The three guides were exceptional; all spoke fluent English. The hotels were perfect choices - just the right combination of comfort and luxury. And the excursions were well-suited to our interests. We are repeat customers with good reason.

Napo Wildlife Center, Ecuador, Jan 2024Our Amazon trip to Napa Wildlife Centre to amazing! We traveled ll over South America, including Galapagos, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Panama and Columbia. We found our Amazon experience to be our number one favorite out of our entire two and a half month vacation. Jane and Marie were amazing, they answered all of our questions and their recommendations made this excursion absolutely incredible. Our Napo Wildlife Centre guide, Juan, was a wealth of knowledge. Since he lives and grew up in the Amazon, he knew how to spot animals and what to listen for. We saw more types of fauna and flora than we could have imagined. The Napo Wildlife Centre is a fabulous retreat, with all the comforts of home. The food was wonderful, and the service was outstanding.
I would highly recommend Adventure Life and the Napo Wildlife Centre for your Amazon trip!

Classic Antarctica, Jan 2024Our stay aboard the MS Ushuaia for the Classic Antarctica trip exceeded all our expectations. We enjoyed every minute of it (ok, maybe not crossing the Drake Passage, as the seas were very rough). Staff, guides, everybody was spectacular.

Guatemala and Belize!, Jan 2024Our guide Judith and driver Carmelita were the BEST! They were so informative, so organized. Best of all they took such good care of our every need. They were fun to be with but were so professional. We got to know Guatemala better than if we traveled on our own. We have friends for life with these two wonderful women!

Patagonia and Antarctica!, Jan 2024Everyone was where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there. Mary Rose and I communicated on whatsapp and email and she provided me the local contacts which helped keep everything running smoothly. It also allowed me to add tours at the end without a problem.
Mary Rose is exceptional!!

Weddell Sea Discovery Cruise, Jan 2024I just wanted to give a shout out whoever covers your emergency line. I had to contact her when my flight got delayed to let her know I would not be arriving in Buenos Aires in time it would be delayed by a couple hours. She was prompt to get a hold of Swan hellenic to let them know of my delay, and then called me back to let me know she had contacted them. Her actions eased my anxiety. And when we arrived in Buenos Aires, they were the people there to meet us just as we expected, they would be. Great job to the 24 hour emergency service line. This was New Year’s Eve.

Antarctic Wildlife Adventure Cruise, Jan 2024The ship, M/V Sea Spirit was great - I liked the small size, and accessibility to a wrap-around deck on Level 4 to facilitate 360 degree views and exercise. The hotel & dining room staff were phenomenal in terms of service, learning our names and food and seating preferences, and providing all around out-standing service. I shared a triple room on level 3 and we found that the room was plenty spacious and comfortable for the 3 of us - it was the best option for comfort and affordability. The expedition staff were also excellent - very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled in their various areas of expertise.
My initial email correspondence with Kevin was what cinched our commitment to work with Adventure Life. He responded promptly, answered my questions directly and did not try to "push" options that I specifically indicated that we were not interested in (in other words, he listened!).

Northeast & Southern Islands, Galapagos, Dec 2023This was a fantastic experience, truly the trip of a lifetime. The Galaxy boat was well maintained with a competent and friendly crew. The guide that we had was also highly knowledgeable and competent. I was impressed that pretty much every excursion (hiking, snorkeling, etc.) was distinctly different, and we saw and experienced an amazing array of wildlife, flora, and geology. Activities were spaced well with the right amount of downtime. Although expensive, the "small cruise boat" experience is such a superior way to see the Galapagos relative to land/air options that the extra expense is well worth it. I will say that the cruises are pretty tightly regulated, so that the variability between the different cruise lines and the sites they visit is probably modest. They all cycle through a government-specified set of locations with orchestrated schedules to minimize overlap at those sites.
Although it is only infrequently that we take major foreign vacations, we like them to be active with hiking, biking, snorkeling, and so on. Adventure Life has always steered us to appropriate, high-quality trips that fit who we are, even as we moved from a highly active athletic young couple to middle-aged parents with a middle-schooler.
