Cruise along Asia’s incredible Mekong River, located between Vietnam and Cambodia. The longest river in Southeast Asia and the 12th longest on earth, the Mekong is also a hub for Vietnamese culture and a major transportation route for villagers living in the Delta. From floating markets selling fish, coconut candy, tropical fruit, vegetables and flowers to bee farms that line the river, the Mekong throbs from before sunrise to after dark with vital economic activity. Watch artisans producing the magnificent silverware favored by Khmer royalty. Discover the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide and the Killing Field or enjoy simply shopping at a local Russian Market.

Arrive and board the ship in Phnom Penh to celebrate the onward journey towards the heart of this mighty river. Enjoy a Khmer Apsara performance, an indigenous tradition memorialized on the temple walls at Angkor Wat.
Day 2: Tonle sap River | Koh Chen | Kampong Prasat
In the silversmith village of Koh Chen, watch artisans producing the magnificent silverware favored by Khmer royalty. Continue to Udong, the royal capital from the 17-19th centuries, where you can learn about a uniquely challenging Buddhist practice at the Vipassana Dhura Mandala, a meditation center. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Kampong Prasat that offers a close-up perspective on local lives and their riverside environment.
In the cooler hours, head into the lush countryside to visit traditional potters and palm-sugar producers, astride mountain bikes or chauffeured by shaded tuk-tuk. Into the rice paddies, pedal to watch wizened masters scale sky-piercing palms towering over you. Cruise across the glassy water and disembark among the lotuses for an ox-cart ride along the Tonle Sap riverbanks, past lacquered wooden houses where during dry months residents take refuge in the relative cool of these outdoor impromptu living rooms.
Day 4: Phnom Penh, Cambodia | Disembark

Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.

Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
