Day 1: Elephant Express Railcar | Bomani Tented Camp

Transfer two hours from Victoria Falls to Dete Railway Station. Here you board the Elephant Express Railcar to start your adventure, a one-of-a-kind railcar designed to make your transfer to your safari camp. With seating for up to 22 passengers at teak tables and a spacious aisle for movement and photo opportunities, it ensures comfort throughout the journey. Plus, onboard amenities include a restroom and refreshments served during the three-hour ride, with a light lunch provided on the southbound trip. Sit back, relax, and indulge in fantastic game viewing while having a blast aboard! Arrive at Ngamo Siding where you get off and transfer the rest of the way in vehicles to Bomani Tented Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights.

Experience the essence of safari at Bomani Tented Camp, situated within a 5,000-acre private concession within the Ngamo Forest area on the southeastern corner of Hwange National Park. Renowned for their picturesque vistas and abundant wildlife, the plains offer unparalleled year-round game viewing. Take in the natural beauty with Bomani’s open-air thatched main lodge, luxurious tented accommodations, and expansive teak viewing decks. Day 2-3: Ngamo Plains

The next three days are spent explaining the Ngamo Plains as you prefer. The Ngamo Plains are the largest plains in Hwange National Park and deliver an incredible game experience to eager wildlife enthusiasts. Expect nothing short of exceptional game viewing throughout the year, complemented by a wide array of safari activities.

Set out on game drives during the day or at night and walking safaris with experienced guides to spot eland, kudu, wildebeest, zebra, steenbok, impala, waterbuck, and lions. At Bomani, you are only a short 15-minute drive from Hwange National Park. You can also opt to visit a nearby village or school, enjoy a rhino interaction, or spot wildlife from a hide. Day 4: On to Jozibanini Camp

Transfer 5-6 hours today while on a game drive to arrive at Jozibanini Camp.

Day 5-6: Remote Hwange National Park Explorations

Set out on traditional game drives, walking safaris, wildlife observation from a lookout blind, and exhilarating mountain biking adventures tailored for the active safari enthusiast. Renowned for its abundant elephant populations, particularly during the dry season, this region offers a captivating wildlife experience. Make the journey even more memorable by joining a 'pump run,' contributing to the unique game water supply program while en route to Jozibanini, adding an extra layer of engagement to your safari adventure.

Day 7: Flight and Transfer to Nehimba Lodge

Today you fly to Giraffe Springs Airstrip, where you transfer 20 minutes to Nehimba Lodge. Nestled within a vast 43,500-acre private concession in the northern reaches of Hwange National Park, Nehimba Lodge offers a blend of comfort, wilderness, and African allure, creating an unparalleled safari retreat. Overlooking a bustling waterhole frequented by herds of elephants, the lodge features a central guest area and nine expansive canvas-under-thatch tents, all set on teak decks. Accommodations consist of nine lavish raised chalets, with family suite options, adorned with traditional thatch, each boasting spacious interiors, intimate ambiance, and safety.
