Twelve tented rooms along the Zambezi River, just a few kilometers from the famous Victoria Falls, make up the Toka Leya Camp. Wooden walkways wind between the spacious, en-suite units and main areas, limiting a traveler's footprint on this pristine wilderness. The camps common areas are comprised of a dining room, lounge, bar, several decks, and an infinity pool, all of which overlook the mighty Zambezi. Enjoy the stylish African decor of the climate controlled tents while watching for birds, elephant and grunting pods of hippo out the large windows or from an expansive private deck.
Africa safari game drives into the Mosi-oa-Tunya Park offer sightings of non-predatory game species such as buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and impala. White rhino were reintroduced into the park and the occasional predator may also be seen. The area in and around Toka Leya offer travelers a rich birdlife including several sought-after species such as African Finfoot, Half-collared Kingfisher, and Rock Pratincole.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
