As the primary residence of the British monarch, the financial powerhouse, and the seat of government, London is the dynamic heart of the United Kingdom. A city of striking contrasts, it seamlessly blends deep-rooted traditions with modern energy. From iconic landmarks like Hyde Park, Westminster, and Trafalgar Square to vibrant districts and historic sites, London invites exploration at every turn. Immerse yourself in the city's rhythm, from the masterpieces at the National Gallery and the charm of Covent Garden to the grandeur of Tower Bridge. Amid the excitement, find moments of tranquility in London's lush parks and gardens.

Day 2: Dover

Situated in Kent County along the edge of the English Channel, Dover is the UK’s closest town to France, just 35 km from Cap Gris-Nez. Known as the “Gateway to England,” this historic port is a vital link between Britain and mainland Europe. Dover is renowned for its iconic white cliffs, which inspire generations of writers and offer breathtaking clifftop walks with panoramic views. Overlooking the Channel from its strategic hilltop perch, the imposing Dover Castle symbolizes the town’s storied past, with fascinating underground tunnels to explore.

Included Excursions

Dover Castle - Discover the grandeur of Dover Castle, one of England’s most fortified landmarks. Begin with a guided tour of its Inner Bailey and Henry II’s Great Tower, then explore the castle grounds, featuring an ancient Roman lighthouse and an Anglo-Saxon church. Walk the battlements for stunning views of the English Channel, and, if open, venture into the historic tunnels used during World War II, including the headquarters for the Dunkirk evacuation and a wartime hospital.

The White Cliffs & The Battle of Britain - Experience the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne, honoring the RAF pilots and crew who defended Britain in 1940. Enjoy a guided tour, interactive exhibits, and the memorial wall. Then, take a scenic walk along the iconic White Cliffs to the South Foreland Lighthouse before returning to the pier.

Canterbury and its Cathedral - Travel through Kent's scenic countryside to Canterbury, home to the iconic cathedral and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the awe-inspiring cathedral, admire its Gothic architecture and stained glass, and stroll the charming streets with historic shops.

Day 3: Cowes

Located on the north coast of the Isle of Wight, across from the shores of the port cities of Portsmouth and Southampton, Cowes will win you over with its leisurely lifestyle, its heritage, verdant landscapes, craggy cliffs, and the crystal-clear waters of the Solent, the stretch of sea separating the island from mainland England. Many have succumbed to the charms of this pristine jewel. This includes Queen Victoria, captivated by this natural and authentic setting, had her summer residence built there in 1847: Osborne House. This architectural gem is now one of the symbols of the town. A shipbuilding center and the cradle of sailing, Cowes welcomes one of the largest regattas in the world every year during Cowes Week, an event gathering some 10,000 skippers and more than a thousand boats.

Included Excursion

Royal Osborne House - Sail into Cowes and take a scenic drive across the Isle of Wight, much of it an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visit Osborne House, Queen Victoria's Italianate summer retreat, exploring its elegant rooms, Swiss Cottage, and stunning gardens before returning to your ship.

Day 4: Isles of Scilly

Nestling in the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean at the southwest tip of Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly form a small British island chain whose climate, landscapes, and lifestyle are unlike any other and seem to have come straight from an Enid Blyton story. Here, everything resembles a tropical paradise. The long sandy beaches run alongside lush green meadows teeming with semi-exotic flowers while the ruins of ancient castles loom from the tops of the hills. Veritable havens of peace that inspired the legendary Avalon of King Arthur are listed today as an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the rugged coastline plays host to wildlife as varied as it is exceptional, including the very rare Atlantic grey seal.

Included Excursions

Wildlife Cruise - Explore the natural beauty of the Isles of Scilly, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on a scenic boat cruise around the eastern Isles. Discover rugged coastlines teeming with wildlife, including seals, seabirds like puffins (from mid-April), and more in this pristine marine haven.

SC Dogs Distillery Tour & Tasting - Visit St. Martin’s, a serene island with stunning views, and tour SC Dogs, the Isles of Scilly’s first rum distillery. Learn about the distilling process, sample locally crafted spirits, and hear fascinating island tales before returning to Higher Town to rejoin your ship.

St. Martin’s Vineyard - Explore St. Martin’s, a tranquil island known for its scenic beauty and local charm. Visit St. Martin’s Vineyard for a self-guided tour and wine tasting, then stroll to Highertown to browse a gallery, flower farm, and artisanal bakery before returning to the pier for your ship transfer.

St. Mary's Garrison - The Isles of Scilly, 28 miles from Land’s End, boasts stunning beaches, vibrant flowers, and a peaceful pace of life. On St. Mary’s, enjoy a guided introduction to the islands’ rich history, walk the 17th-century Garrison walls, visit Star Castle, and explore charming Hugh Town, steps from Porthcressa Bay’s sandy shores.

Tresco Abbey Gardens - Tresco, the second-largest of the Isles of Scilly, is home to the stunning Tresco Abbey Gardens. This botanical paradise, flourishing in a unique microclimate, boasts 20,000 plant species and charming red squirrels. Stroll at your own pace to explore vibrant blooms, historic ruins, and shipwreck figureheads.

Day 5: Kinsale

Considered Ireland’s most beautiful village, Kinsale will captivate you with its sublime natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Located at the mouth of the Bandon River in County Cork, this charming little port is home to picturesque streets lined with colorful houses, art galleries, theatres, and a 17th-century fort. Not far away, perched on a rocky promontory, stands the Old Head of Kinsale Lighthouse: still in operation today, it has magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean.

Included Excursions

Cork City and the Jameson Distellery - Explore Cork, a vibrant city of culture, charm, and friendly locals, on a panoramic tour featuring landmarks like Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral and the Bells of Shandon. Then, visit the Old Jameson Distillery in Midleton for a guided tour, whiskey tasting, and time to browse its craft and coffee shops.

Charles Fort & Old Head Kinsale - Board a coach to the Old Head of Kinsale, where dramatic cliffs meet the Celtic Sea, and enjoy a stroll along the pristine, Blue Flag-awarded Garrylucas Beach. Continue to Charles Fort for a guided tour of this impressive 17th-century star-shaped fort before returning to your ship.

The Center of Cork City - Discover Cork on a guided walking tour through its vibrant neighborhoods. Stroll along the South Mall and quays, admire Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, and explore the lively English Market. Enjoy time to browse or shop before regrouping for a drink at a local pub and returning to the ship.

Day 6: Holyhead, Wales

In the north of Wales and the west of the captivating Isle of Anglesey, succumb to the charms of the enchanting small port town of Holyhead. Often called "the mother of Wales" due to its importance in history, Holyhead is a paradise for anyone with a passion for natural landscapes and heritage. They will love exploring the town's many historical landmarks, among other sites. Holyhead's 13th-century church, St Cybi's Church, is nestling in the middle of the Roman citadel. Finally, you can admire one of the town's symbols: South Stack Lighthouse, built in 1809. As you pass near the lighthouse, you might have the chance to marvel at numerous species of seabirds, including guillemots and razorbills.

Included Excursions

Bodnant Garden - From Holyhead, travel across Anglesey and the Menai Strait to Bodnant Garden, nestled in the Snowdonian foothills. Established in 1874, it features global plant collections, vibrant blooms, and Wales' largest Champion Trees. Enjoy a guided tour and free time to explore this stunning National Trust property.

Highlights of Welsh Culture and History - Immerse yourself in Welsh culture through language, industry, and architecture. Start with a lecture on the Welsh language before visiting Menai Bridge to explore its history and enjoy scenic views. After a local lunch, tour UNESCO-listed Caernarfon Castle, then return to Holyhead via picturesque Anglesey.

Day 7: Belfast, Northern Ireland

The capital city of Northern Ireland is located on the very tip of Belfast Lough, in the north-east of the Emerald Isle. Along the waterfront, the building shaped like a fragmented liner is none other than the Titanic Belfast, a homage to the famous transatlantic liner, with full-scale reconstructions making for an insightful experience of the Belle Epoque. In the historical center, travel back in time to see the majestic Edwardian columns of the City Hall and the imposing neo-gothic towers of Queen’s University, for example. The carved wooden facades of the Victorian pubs will certainly entice you in for a pint of beer or chilled cider.

Included Excursions

The Hospitality of Belfast - Experience the festive spirit of Irish hospitality on this Belfast excursion. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city's iconic landmarks, including the Albert Memorial Clock and Belfast City Hall. Conclude at a local pub with live Irish music, dancing, storytelling, and the chance to join in the fun!

The Giants Causeway - Travel along Northern Ireland’s stunning Antrim Coast, stopping briefly at Dunluce Castle for breathtaking cliffside views. Visit the UNESCO-listed Giant's Causeway, where 40,000 basalt columns spark wonder and debate—formed by volcanic activity or created by the legendary giant Finn McCool. Explore at your leisure.

City Tour and Titanic Belfast - Discover Belfast's rich heritage on this tour of its Victorian and industrial-era highlights. Pass iconic landmarks like the Grand Opera House and Albert Memorial Clock, and visit Queen's University and the Botanic Gardens with its stunning Palm House. End at Titanic Belfast, an interactive museum honoring the city's maritime legacy.

Day 8: Tobermory, Isle of Mull | Iona, Hebrides

Located at the northernmost tip of the lovely Isle of Mull, Tobermory has to be one of the most beautiful natural seaports on Scotland’s West Coast. Founded in 1788, this ancient fishing village has become a leisure port highly appreciated today for its surroundings and quiet charm. The row of many-storied houses on the hillside will win you over, illuminating the harbor with their vibrant colors. Although the real spectacle is outdoors, the Mull Museum is no less fascinating. It is dedicated to local history and the exhibitions at the An Tobar Art Gallery.

Included Excursion

Castle & Abbey: A Hebridean Legacy - Explore Tobermory before a scenic drive to Duart Castle, the historic home of Clan Maclean. Visit the dungeons and climb the 13th-century keep for panoramic views. After lunch, continue to Iona, famed for its 6th-century Christian settlement and royal burial site. Tour the Abbey before rejoining your ship.

Of all the islands in the Inner Hebrides, Iona is by far the most conducive to contemplation and meditation. And for good reason, it is here that St Columba landed from Ireland in 563 and undertook to establish Christianity in Scotland. Now an abbey, the islandメs true spiritual center stands where the ancient monastery founded by the Irish missionary was built. Many kings of Scotland, including the legendary Macbeth, are buried in the nearby cemetery. Arriving on the Isle of Iona is a stunningly beautiful experience in sunny weather.

Included Excursion

Iona Abbey - Enjoy leisure time in Tobermory to explore the waterfront or seaside trails before reboarding the ship for lunch as it sails to Iona. On Iona, visit the 13th-century Abbey and the "Graves of the Kings," the final resting place of 60 Scottish monarchs, including Macbeth. End the tour by walking to the pier to rejoin your ship.

Day 9: Fairlie (Glasgow), Scotland | DIsembark

  • 1 Breakfast
The village of Fairlie can be found less than an hour away from lively Glasgow. In the north of Ayrshire county, on the western Scottish coast, this charming little town faces the Isle of Arran. The originality of Kelburn Castle, built in the 12th century, stems from its facade covered in graffiti by four famous Brazilian graffiti artists. This artistic statement and the castle’s estate and gardens, which can be discovered during a pleasant walk, are well worth a visit.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
