Why Not Southern Greenland?

Wildlife is often the top reasons for travelers to visit the Arctic.  Southern Greenland is, however… not on the short-list for Arctic wildlife.  You’ll have the potential for whale sightings, and for seabird sightings, and for the occasional Arctic fox or reindeer.  But this is not the prime real estate for polar bears or narwhals, as you simply aren’t that far north.

One bit of wildlife you are likely to see?  Mosquitos.  In the warmer months at this latitude, they can be a bit fierce during your shore forays.  Pray for some wind to keep them at bay, and keep those bug nets handy just in case.
