We had been warned that it would rain on us in Patagonia. I had also been warned that it would be windy – most of the time. But nobody told me about the rainbows! Our drive from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales, then Puerto Natales to EcoCamp, was filled with plenty of wind, and a bit of rain… but no less than four different rainbows! At this latitude, the sun comes at quite an angle, even at midday. And the storms roll through in quick succession – so you get some gaps in the clouds in between the rain (OK, not always) letting that angled sun filter through and create a rainbow.
So yeah, we got rained on. It was cold and windy. It did snow on us twice. But these just worked to make the moments of sunshine, and those conspicuous rainbows, all the more appreciated.

Our advisor at Adventure Life, Mary Curry, was knowledgable and quick to respond with answers to any questions we had. She made our booking efficiently and set up a time for us to make a secure payment through her directly. We’ve used Adventure Life repeatedly and would definitely recommend it.

I selected Adventure Travel as I was not satisfied with the responsiveness of the agent for the cruise I was trying to book and it had good recommendations. So far, I am quite happy with my agent, Betty, very responsive and accommodating.
