Ideally located on a bluff just 10 km from the Tarangire National Park gate, the Tarangire Safari Lodge offers incredible views of the Tarangire River and the surrounding park. As the first lodge in the park, it offers guests an unparalleled location, incredible game viewing year-round, and comfortable accommodations. The lodge consists of canvas tents and stone bungalows with nicely appointed common areas and an open-air dining room. Relax in the communal lounge after your Tanzania safari and enjoy the handmade furniture, made from recycled wood from old dhow boats, or enjoy a sundowner cocktail on the large main terrace as you watch a herd of elephants or a pride of lions!
Tents: Each tent is built on a solid base and has a private thatched-roof veranda. Large screened windows offer unobstructed views of the valley, and curtains provide privacy at night. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with solar heated showers.
Bungalows: Each of the 5 stone bungalows are designed for triple accommodation or families. All beds have a mosquito net, and the Maasai-style circular huts offer large windows and a shared veranda with views of the nearby watering hole. En-suite bathrooms have solar heated showers.

The trip was terrific with great planning on your part. Most of the adventures were not mainstream and somewhat off the beaten path which made it especially enjoyable!! We felt taken care of and you all were readily available to respond to questions and issues. I would highly recommend your company and friends have already expressed interest based on our pictures and excitement.
