Ang'ata Ngorongoro Tented Camp is located on the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, close to the Crater Lodge. Just inside the park boundaries, the location allows for early game drives into the crater, leaving you almost alone to explore this World Heritage Site. Up to 25,000 animals call the crater their home, with the exception of the Maasai giraffe, which cannot cope with the steep slopes of the crater. The main attraction and the most elusive are the 23 black rhinos that live inside the crater, perhaps the only chance to see them in the wild. The Maasai Bomas are a few kilometers away for those who wish to meet the local people.
The camp has 8 guest tents, including a family unit with two tents, a lounge and a dining tent. Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and flush toilets. A king-size bed or 2 or 3 twin beds are available on request. The lounge is the place to meet other travelers and share the day's safari stories over a complimentary cup of Tanzanian coffee or tea. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the dining tent, freshly prepared daily by the chefs. Campfires are lit when the weather permits.

Our Game Package consists of a combination of accommodation at one or more of our Ang'ata Camps and 2 daily game drives.
This all-inclusive package is the ideal way to explore the environment and wildlife with our experienced local guides in a 4x4 vehicle.

FLY-IN / FLY-OUT SAFARIS
Another option for those who do not wish to travel to the bush by road are our fly-in / fly-out safaris. Flights in cooperation with our partner Coastal Aviation fly in and out of Nairobi, Arusha, Zanzibar, and Dar-Es-Salaam, among other regional airports with easy connections to international flights, and bring you directly to the bush at the airfield closest to our Ang'ata Camps, where our staff will take care of everything from there. Game package included.
CLASSIC PHOTO SAFARI
To take you through the vast wilderness of Tanzania, we offer Classic Photographic Safaris in custom-built 4x4 vehicles with experienced multi-lingual wildlife guides. Destinations include the Northern Safari Circuit (Arusha, National Park, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti NP) as well as the Southern National Parks and Game Reserves (Ruaha, Selous, Katavi, Kitulo and others), we can also take you to Gombe Stream NP with its chimpanzees or even arrange for you to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in the company of experienced mountain guides.
