Day 1: Bridgetown, Barbados | Embark

Barbados’ wild and rugged east coast features secluded beaches with red sands, said to have blown across the Atlantic from the Sahara. As the easternmost island of the Caribbean, Barbados feels like it connects the Old World of Africa to the New World. Its capital, Bridgetown, is a city of contrasts. Fun fact: George Washington once stayed here! Trafalgar Square reflects the island’s British heritage, where traditions like cricket and high tea blend with the relaxed, rum-loving island lifestyle.

Day 2-11: At Sea

Star Clippers ships provide a classic and stylish way to explore the world. Experience the wind in the sails as it smoothly carries you to stunning destinations. Onboard, you can unwind on a sun lounger or take a dip in one of the top deck pools. For adventure seekers, there’s the chance to climb the rigging or even steer the ship. If you prefer indoor activities, you can explore the ship’s cozy lounges, a serene library, and, on the Royal Clipper, a rejuvenating spa.

Day 12: Ponta Delgada | Azores, Portugal

The Azores have long played host to transatlantic yachtsmen, traders, and explorers. It stands on the pretty green and fertile island of Sao Miguel. 16th and 17th-century economic growth saw the construction of lavish palaces and churches, many still surviving.

Day 13-16: At Sea

The ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalizing spa (Royal Clipper only) and a peaceful library.

Day 17: Lisbon, Portugal | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
The capital of Portugal since its conquest from the Moors in 1147, Lisbon is a legendary city with over 20 centuries of history. Spreading out along the right bank of the Tagus, its downtown, the Baixa, is located in the 18th-century area around Rossio. The Alfama, one of the oldest quarters in Lisboa, still retains much of its original layout since it largely survived the earthquake of 1755.
