Las Torres Reserve (Hotel Las Torres Patagonia) Properties
1905 - A new life in Patagonia
At the young age of 15, Antonio Kusanovic Jercic left Croatia and started a new life at the end of the world, afar from home, in Patagonia. In 1926, his son Antonio Kusanovic Senkovic was born, who would later follow in his footsteps.
1979 - Hacienda Cerro Paine
Antonio Kusanovic Jercic purchased Hacienda Cerro Paine with plans to continue the family heritage with ranching. The diverse, vast, and unpopulated land of Patagonia was ideal for livestock purposes and the ranch was used exclusively for that purpose for decades. Over time, the Kusanovic family had more than 600 cows grazing on land.
1990 - The birth of Hotel Las Torres
When word of mouth began and people began to know more about Patagonia, Torres del Paine and the three enormous granite towers that rise here, Antonio and his wife Amor Eliana Marusic began to offer a cozy bed and homemade food to the Travellers. They renovated part of the room and built nine rooms and a restaurant, thus, giving way to the simple emergence of Hotel Las Torres.
1996 - Shelter Development
Backpackers thirsty for adventure began to arrive in Torres del Paine, in search of that intense connection with nature. The first shelter was the Albergue Las Torres (Refugio Norte), which was followed by the Cuernos and the Chileno.
2001 - New identity: Hotel Las Torres Patagonia
As curiosity around Torres del Paine grew, the Hotel also developed. In 2001, it became known as Hotel Torres Patagonia, reflecting the rustic and authentic hacienda it is today, fully embracing its cultural heritage and proudly sharing it with its visitors who want a glimpse of life in Patagonia.
2013 - Torres del Paine without cattle
Focused on the commitment to the long-term preservation and sustainability of this unparalleled land full of natural resources, the family decided to move all of their livestock from Torres del Paine. This was the first big step towards sustainable tourism that inspired the world with the culture and landscapes of Patagonia.
2016 - Construction of their Welcome Center
As the official reception and welcome point for all visitors to Reserva Las Torres, information about the Park, the Reserve and the trekking circuits can be found here. This place allows their staff to provide education about conservation and good practices during visits.
2020 - Transformation to Las Torres Reserve
The holding company, its tourism companies (Hotel Las Torres and Fantastica Sur), and conservation projects are consolidated under the new name Reserva Las Torres.

FAQs
Is there an internet connection in the Hotel?
Internet connection is free and available in all common areas of the hotel. However, due to our remote location, connection speed may vary throughout the day.
What dinner options are available?
There are two delicious options where you can have lunch and dinner. Restaurante Coirón offers a traditional menu and the lively, eco-friendly Bar Pionero offers casual food, creative cocktails, craft beer and a good selection of Chilean and international wines.
Can I buy outdoor clothing at the hotel?
Yes, the hotel has a souvenir shop that also sells clothing such as jackets, scarves, hats, pants and shoes. However, we recommend that you come with most of your outdoor equipment ready. If you need to buy several items of clothing, we suggest that you search in Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales to find a greater variety of clothing.
What is the distance between Las Torres and the Hotel?
Hotel Las Torres is in a strategic location in the heart of the park, right at the starting point of the most important hiking circuits. It takes 8 hours in total to get to and from the base of the famous three towers (Las Torres) and can be completed on foot or by horse riding.
Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.

Creating a checklist was very beneficial and meeting objectives on certain dates helped as well (to keep my trip organized). The Adventure Travel personnel helped keep me on track which is why my trip was so successful. Communication from both travel agencies (AT/MT) was vital.

This is an amazing company to work with. I generally do not use tour companies as I am more of an independent traveller so I was slightly reticent. They were fantastic from the start - 10/10 - from lining up a phone call to discuss requirements, then their ongoing communication in the lead up to the tour and during it (thank you, Franny and Phen). They also explored cost-effective options (eg group transfers). The tour was in Patagonia so Adventure Life organised a pickup from the El Calafate airport to the El Chalten accommodation, two day hikes with a private guide and then to the El Calafate accommodation. A tour coordinator came to the hotel to explain, using the maps, what was involved in each day tour and what should be expected, and patiently answered all questions. The tour guide Marcos was excellent - very professional, knowledgable, communicative and at all times felt very safe with his navigational skills (important in the Patagonian wilderness). On the second day I forgot to take hiking poles so Marcos kindly gave me his. I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing and would happily recommend and book through them again.

Adventure Life has been great throughout my planning process for our up and coming Galapagos cruise. Kevin Moore, in particular, was very helpful in assisting me in making choices and providing me with options. He was also very patient, as I worked through figuring out what I really wanted in this vacation.
