Mr Charles Riverview Lodge is pleasantly located on the Douthawady River between two Shan villages; the “Naug Gad” village and the “Kun Jong” village. Both of these villages are just a couple minutes walk away offering our guests the opportunity to see and experience the “day to day” of traditional Shan villages throughout the day as well as observe their seasonal customs throughout different times of the year.
The lodge is comprised of just 10 rooms, constructed in a way that offers a contemporary twist on the traditional Shan home. All rooms are equipped with beautiful locally-crafted wooden framed beds, walk in shower with hot water, satellite TV, mini-bar, stocked fridge, and safety deposit box. We are also able to offer free WI-FI as well as AC and heating. Private balconies are the most talked about feature. The back balcony of each room overlooks the Douthawady River while the front porch offers a spectacular view of the adjacent rice paddy fields and rolling mountain line.
