Discover the pure wildness of Baja's desert islands and the living sea, and then go further and delve into the Peninsula's unique culture and art from ancient times to modern. On this 8-day voyage you are sure to be enchanted by the dolphins, seabirds, and extraordinary marine life, and intrigued by the region's rich history and culture. When you catch sight of the rugged cliffs and white sand beaches along Baja's islands as they are reflected in an azure sea, it is immediately clear why UNESCO designated them a World Heritage Site.
Highlights
Search for humpback whales off the southern coast of the peninsula
Snorkel at Cabo Pulmo, a vibrant reef and model for ocean conservation
Kayak, swim, and hike the pristine desert islands of the Sea of Cortez
See whale sharks in the Bay of La Paz and possibly swim alongside them
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Explore two gems of the Sea of Cortez: UNESCO World Heritage site islands, Islas San Jose and San Francisco offer abundant opportunities to snorkel, kayak, beachcomb, or hike.
Today let mother nature be your guide while you explore further in the Sea of Cortez. Search for marine mammals, known to inhabit the region north of Isla San Jose.
Snorkeling with playful and curious sea lions is a highlight here. Tuck into a shallow, emerald green anchorage, where you can snorkel once more or hike the island’s beautiful arroyo.
Today venture out in search of the largest fish on the planet. Each winter, whale sharks are attracted to the nutrient-rich waters of Bahía de La Paz. Take local boats out on the bay to watch these graceful giants, possibly entering the water to swim alongside them if conditions permit. Later, grab your camera and stroll along the bustling waterfront malecón to the cathedral on the main plaza. This afternoon return to the islands, with a later afternoon beach landing.
Explore the island’s beautifully-indented bays by expedition landing craft, kayaks, or snorkeling. Go beachcombing or opt for a hike along the rocky coast, keeping your eye out for brown pelicans, gulls, wandering tattlers, great blue herons, and blue-footed boobies.
Learn the inspiring story of Cabo Pulmo National Park conservation and snorkel the reef among red fan corals and large schools of fish. Meet some of the people responsible for protecting Cabo Pulmo and learn how it has become a model for reefs around the world. Search for humpback whales before taking in sunset at Land's End.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
My travel consultant went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly, everything from the flight reservations to the final booking.

Claudia does an excellent job of communicating. HOWEVER…you paperwork requirements are constipated — a real impediment to doing business. Fire the lawyers or accountants over that.
