History
The Riverside Lodge falls under the specialty hotel category and is a boutique-style hotel. The hotel is really a grand casa set back in time with all the history and nooks and crannies to explore. Once a privately owned home, it was converted to a hotel back in the early 90's and covers an entire block.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
