History of Guaycura
Fine decor and art come hand in hand at the Guaycura Boutique Hotel & Spa. Its well-preserved historic building, which dates back to the mid-ninteenth century, initially belonged to the Domínguez family. Later on, it was transformed into a school, a post office and even an art academy for young ladies, where art, embroidery and music classes were offered. It became a police station in the thirties, and more recently, a boarding house for students from all over the state of Baja California Sur, until the current owners, led by the Salas family, acquired it a few years ago. The hotel has been in service since Spring 2010.

Guaycura Restaurant
The onsite restaurant offers the best quality in food and beverage and excellent and courteous service. With its travertine marble floor, a Mediterranean style patio and its charming Mexican style fountain, Guaycura restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cuisine is a delicious combination of traditional Mediterranean dishes with a touch of unique Mexican flavors. Throughout the seasons, the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean generously provide fresh fish and fancy seafood. Light desserts are filled with the vibrant colors and aromas of the fruits from Todos Santos' orchards. Most of the vegetables and herbs are organic and grown locally with special care.
Bar Don Guillermo
Artist Jorgeloy Teran hand-painted the Moorish ceiling motifs, which reflect the Guaycura's artistic soul as much as the elegant and classy wine selection. Martini specialties, traditional drinks and imaginative inventions may be prepared for you at your whim. And for those who like fresh alcohol-free drinks, there is also a variety of organic fruit cocktails.

The Palapa at Cala de Ulloa
Close to the hotel, a large palapa overlooking a spectacular 2-mile long virgin beach is at the disposal of hotel guests. Social events may be scheduled here, as well as short trips to take drinks or meals prepared at the palapa´s kitchen while enjoying the view at different times of the day, including, of course, sunset. From the palapa, walk to the magnificent beach below. Here you can view an authentic light-house and admire the magnificent waves at close quarters, maybe even getting your feet wet. On days when the sea is tranquil, you may swim at the southern end of the beach.
