Located on the pristine shores of Mumbo Island on Lake Malawi, this uninhabited tropical island is home to Mumbo Island Camp, an off-the-grid camp offering guests an incredible chance to reconnect with nature and find true solitude. Experience Lake Malawi's world-class freshwater snorkeling and diving, explore the maze of massive underwater boulders and swim amongst innumerable species of colorful fish in the lake's calm, clear waters.
Mumbo Island accommodates fourteen guests in thatch canvas tents with shaded decks, hammocks, hot bucket showers and 'eco-loos'. The decor at Mumob Island maintains the camp's green ethos, and a majority of the furnishings are locally sourced from the nearby villages or elsewhere in Malawi.
After a full day of snorkeling, exploring the lake or relaxing guests gather in the timber dining area, enjoying the views out over Lake Malawi. Enjoy the rustic charm and reconnect with nature at this island lodge.

Island Chalet
The tiny camp caters for only fourteen guests (five double chalets and one four-bed forest unit). The chalets are tastefully furnished with shaded decks, hammocks, hot bucket showers and ‘eco-loos’.
This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
