Day 1: Arrive in Amman, Jordan

Welcome to Jordan! Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport and drive to your hotel in Amman.  The transfer can take 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your arrival time and traffic, plenty of time to marvel at the city of Amman.

Today, you are free to explore the city on your own.

Day 2: Amman City Tour | Jerash | Ajloun

After breakfast, explore Jordan with a private tour of the old city of Amman. Visit the Citadel and the Roman Theatre, two of the popular archaeological sites in the city. Spend your free time walking through the old market in downtown, visiting the shops and fruit markets with your guide. For a snack, stop by a local restaurant to sample falafel, hummus, and the Arab delicacy, Kenafah, eaten during celebrations in Jordan.

This afternoon, head north to Jerash, one of the most important and best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. After exploring the area, drive towards Ajloun and visit the Aljoun castle that dominates the skyline. This castle was built to ward off the Crusader armies at the intersection of key trade and pilgrimage routes between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus, and Mecca.

Lastly, visit a local home and enjoy a delicious Jordanian meal with the family.

Day 3: Mount Nebo | Madaba

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Mount Nebo. From here, you can admire the stunning views of the Promised Land, where Moses was buried after he died. Next, head to the town of Madaba and explore the Byzantine mosaics that have been excavated throughout the town. Don't forget to see the 'Madaba Map,' the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands. After that, visit the Shrine of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist. You can also enjoy some of the local activities, such as a Mosaic Art Experience. Later in the day, you'll drive to Little Petra and overnight at a traditional Bedouin camp.

Day 4: Hike from Little Petra to Petra | Cooking Class

After breakfast, you'll begin your hike from the camp and enter Petra through 'The Back Door,' avoiding mass crowds of tourists. Good tracks go pleasantly down Wadi Ghurab amidst sandstone mountains guarding the entrance to Petra. This path traces a Nabataean route out of the valley, skirting around the final mountain along a natural rock terrace that has been enhanced for walker safety. It does narrow slightly before leading to a hidden plateau, perched high above the stunning chasm of Wadi Siyyagh. Just beyond, you'll see carved into the cliff face, ‘The Monastery'. This hike has little shade but you'll have the opportunity to take breaks along the way with your guide. You'll also have an opportunity to rest at a cafe' and enjoy refreshments once you reach the Monastery. 

Later today, you have a cooking class where you learn how to cook a traditional Jordanian meal, from dips and appetizers to a main course and dessert. Afterward, sit down and enjoy the meal you have prepared.

Day 5: Wadi Rum | Disi Women Cooperations | Sunset jeep tour

After breakfast, drive to Wadi Rum and visit the Disi women's cooperative. This cooperative aims to revive the Bedouin history, culture, and traditions through authentic cultural experiences. It is located in the heart of the Wadi Rum desert and is run by a group of motivated Bedouin women. Local experiences include ceramic and pottery making and Bedouin storytelling experience.

Later in the evening, prepare for a 2-hour jeep tour that takes you around Wadi Rum’s valleys, canyons, dunes, and deserts, discover rock inscriptions, majestic views of mountains and landscapes, and narrow gorges. At each stop, you'll have the opportunity to hike, scramble, and explore at your own pace. Lastly, drive back to your camp to enjoy the hospitality of the Bedouins and the incredible night sky.

Pottery-making experience - Approximately 3 hours

Day 6: Dead Sea

After enjoying breakfast in Wadi Rum, drive to the Dead Sea. Check into your hotel and relax while soaking in the sunshine and stunning views. Don't forget to try an invigorating mud bath in the Dead Sea to cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. 

Driving distance from Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea - Approximately 4 hours

Day 7: Dead Sea | Return Home

Today, depart from the Dead Sea and transfer to the Amman airport for your flight home. Goodbye, Jordan!
