Day 1: Arrive in Amman, Jordan

Welcome to Jordan, the land of ancient wonders and modern marvels! As soon as you land at Amman Airport, the team will be there to welcome you with open arms. They'll make sure your immigration process is smooth and hassle-free and then take you on a fascinating journey through one of the oldest cities in the world.

Amman has a history that dates back to the Bronze Age and is a living testimony to the region's rich cultural heritage. The city has grown into a modern metropolis, but it still retains its unique character and charm. From the bustling souks and ancient ruins to the trendy cafes and restaurants, there's something for everyone in Amman.

Depending on the time of your arrival, we can arrange activities in Amman for this day, or you can choose to explore the city on your own. 

The transfer from the airport to your hotel is a journey time of approximately 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the traffic. 

Day 2: Old City of Amman

The day starts with a trip to the old city where you will be awed by the Citadel and the Roman Theatre - two of the most popular archaeological sites in the city. We will also take you to the Jordan Folklore Museum for a glimpse into the country's rich cultural heritage.

Next, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the vibrant local markets with our expert guide who will show you the best places to shop for souvenirs and local delicacies. Downtown Amman is a bustling hub of activity and we'll make sure you get a chance to experience it firsthand.

Afterward, we'll head to Jabal al-Weibdeh, one of Amman's oldest neighborhoods, where you can immerse yourself in the local art scene. You will be delighted by the numerous art galleries such as Darat Al-Funun and Dar Al-Anda, museums, and local antiquities and handcraft shops that line the streets.

As the sun sets, we'll introduce you to another side of Jordan through a wine-tasting session. Sample some of the best wines the country has to offer and learn about the winemaking process from our knowledgeable local experts.

Day 3: Jerash | Ajloun | Orjan

Today, venture from Amman to the stunning city of Jerash, where ancient Greco-Roman ruins and bustling souks await. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of this fascinating city, and be sure to take plenty of photos to capture the magic. Next, make your way to Ajloun, where we'll visit the imposing castle that dominates the skyline. Built to defend against Crusader armies, this castle holds a special place in Jordan's history and is a must-see for any visitor.

Continue on to the charming village of Orjan, where we'll meet our friendly local host and explore the olive groves that have nourished the community for generations. Take a stroll to our host's family home, where you'll get an authentic glimpse into daily life in rural Jordan and enjoy a scrumptious feast of traditional food cooked by his family.

After an unforgettable day of discovery and adventure, we'll return to Amman for a comfortable night's rest.

Day 4: Madaba | Kerak | Feynan

After breakfast, head out to discover the wonders of Madaba, starting with a morning pick-up from Amman. Marvel at the exquisite Byzantine mosaics excavated from different parts of the town, including the "Madaba Map" - the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Lands. From there, we'll make our way to Mount Nebo, where you can behold the same breathtaking view that Moses saw when he looked out over the Promised Land.

Our next stop is the ancient city of Karak, home to the impressive Karak Castle which stands tall and proud atop the skyline. Explore the castle's maze-like halls and passageways and gain a deeper understanding of the Crusaders' architectural and military skills. Then, head south to the renowned Feynan Eco-Lodge - a true gem hidden away in the desert. Voted as one of the top 10 eco-lodges in the world, this candle-lit hotel provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Indulge in their delicious vegetarian menu and experience the magic of a night without electricity.

Don't miss the chance to join their daily guided sunset walk, which takes you on a short 20-30 minute hike up a nearby hilltop to sip on freshly brewed Bedouin tea while taking in the stunning views of the Wadi Araba desert as the sun sets.

Drive from Amman to Madaba is around 45 mins - 1 hour.
Drive between Madaba and Mount nebo is aorund 20 mins.
Drive from Madaba to Kerak is around 2 hours 30 mins.
Drive from Kerak to Feynan is around 3 hours.
There are pickup trucks used off-road to get to the lodge (nearly 30 min drive).

The full amount of your transportation fee goes directly to your driver to help support the local community.

Day 5: Feynan | Petra

Start your day off right at your Ecolodge, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture through a variety of activities. Join a scenic walk or savor a cup of coffee with the friendly locals. For an even more authentic experience, learn how to prepare a traditional vegetarian meal in a cooking class!

Later in the day, embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to the incredible Petra. Before settling in for the night, indulge in a cooking class where you'll discover the secrets to Jordanian cuisine. From dips and appetizers to a mouthwatering main course and dessert, you'll be guided through every step of the process. Finally, sit back and savor the fruits of your labor with a delicious meal made entirely by you!

Day 6: Petra

After your morning meal, make your way to Petra, a breathtaking masterpiece that has stood for centuries. This renowned city of red rose sandstone, half as old as time itself, is sure to leave you in wonder. Lose yourself in the maze of caves and tombs that are scattered throughout the city. Take a walk through the famous Siq, a narrow gorge that will lead you to the magnificent Treasury, an impressive entrance that once safeguarded the ancient Nabatean city. It's now recognized as one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World.

If you're up for a challenge, we recommend you hike up the steep 800+ steps that will take you to "The Monastery & Ad Deir". This grand monument in Petra is one of the largest, measuring 47m wide by 48.3m high. Its architecture is built on the pattern of Khazna, but with niches adorning its walls for sculptures, instead of bas-reliefs. Once you've worked up an appetite, stop at the Bedouin café for a refreshing drink or a light bite.

Day 7: Petra | Wadi Rum

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as you leave Petra after breakfast and make your way to Wadi Rum. Your desert journey begins with a camel ride that will take you through the mystical mountainous terrain. Once you arrive, your Bedouin hosts will be there to welcome you and show you around this amazing World Heritage Site.

Hold on tight as you embark on a thrilling jeep safari to explore the valleys, canyons, dunes, and desert of Wadi Rum. Along the way, you'll discover ancient rock inscriptions, breathtaking views of mountains, and stunning landscapes that will leave you in awe.

Take your time to hike and scramble through the narrow gorges and explore the rugged terrain at each stop. Finally, as the sun sets, you'll return to the camp where you'll enjoy the warm hospitality of the Bedouin people and sleep under the stars.

Driving distance from Petra to Wadi Rum - Approx. 2 hours

For those who prefer not to hike, we've got you covered! We will arrange a transfer for you to enter the site through the main trail. Additionally, you can hire a knowledgeable local guide from the visitors center for around three hours to learn about the area's history, geography, and culture.

Day 8: Wadi Rum | Dead Sea

As you begin your day with a hearty breakfast in Wadi Rum, get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey to the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea. The drive will take you through picturesque desert landscapes, punctuated by rugged mountains and red sand dunes. After a four-hour journey, you will arrive at the stunning Dead Sea.

Once you get there, soak up the sun and take in the breathtaking views of the surroundings. As you relax and unwind, don't forget to indulge in the therapeutic benefits of the invigorating mud bath that will leave your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Day 9: Amman | Return Home

Enjoy your last breakfast in Jordan as you bid farewell to the magnificent Dead Sea. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home.
