La Posada, one of the most representative buildings since it dates back to the 16th century. Located in the center of the city of Cobán and was declared a National Monument, according to its history, this house at its beginnings was used to host personalities from distant places that were passing through or carrying out more than one errand in Cobán when the transport was by cart, horseback, or on foot. The house has always had several rooms or lodgings where people and horses were received, it also had a Chapel where the father or priest of the town officiated a religious service once a week, giving the blessing to the visitors.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
