Day 1: Piraeus (Port of Athens), Greece | Embark

Strolling through the Agora beneath the Acropolis, you can almost hear Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle debating their philosophical legacies. As the cradle of democracy and the heart of Western civilization, ancient Athens remains timeless. Its bustling port, Piraeus, lies just 15 km from the city center and 45 km from the airport.

Day 2: Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos blends rugged hills with stunning beaches among the most cosmopolitan Greek islands. Its capital, Hora, surrounds a vibrant harbor where fishing boats and luxury yachts share the waters. Overlooking this lively hub, a mix of tavernas offers the perfect setting for visitors to gather and soak in the island’s charm.

Day 3: Patmos, Greece

This serene island is known as the site of the apocalyptic revelations of St. John the Divine. The cave where he is said to have lived is now the site of the Monastery of the Apocalypse. It houses priceless icons and manuscripts in its treasury.

Day 4: Chios, Greece

A mastic-scented island with a fascinating history, this natural product is cultivated entirely by hand and is used in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and cosmetics. At the central market of the town of Chios, you can buy mastic-based jams and sweets, brandies and Ouzo! Chios is most likely the birthplace of Homer and ancient mathematicians Hippocrates and Enopides. Many Chiots work in the Merchant Navy, and families from the island have founded some of the most important Greek shipping companies.

Day 5: Dikili, Turkey

Dikili is a quiet little town, with a harbour lined with restaurants and shops. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the site of Pergamon, with its acropolis perched 280 meters high and its Asclepion.

Day 6: Bozcaada, Turkey

Bozcaada has resisted the temptation to become overwhelmed with the usual tourist trappings. Venture aware of its glorious, uncrowded sandy beaches. You wander around its ancient cobbled streets, lined with quaint rustic homes adorned with gorgeous flora and fauna. Stop off for refreshments in one of its many traditional tavernas under the grapevines or visit one of the six wineries on the island. After the tour, you can shop next door and enjoy tasting wine samples.

Day 7: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges and a peaceful library.

Day 8: Istanbul, Turkey

Throughout thousands of years, Istanbul's geographical position has maintained its importance. Today, it is a huge metropolis connecting continents, cultures, and religions. It is home to eleven million people and is one of the region's greatest business and cultural centers.

Day 9: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges and a peaceful library.

Day 10: Dikili, Turkey

Dikili is a quiet little town with a harbor lined with restaurants and shops. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the site of Pergamon, with its acropolis perched 280 meters high and its Asclepion.

Day 11: Myrina, Limnos, Greece

Zeus hurled Hephaestus from Mt. Olympus to land on Limnos, leaving the god of metalworking with a permanent limp. Perhaps he was nursed to health by excellent red and white wines (fortified or not) grown on Limnos volcanic soils. The town of Myrina sits under the winding white ramparts of the Kastro, built in 1186. But even earlier ruins - one of the most ancient sites in Greece - lie in nearby Poliohni.

Day 12: Ouranupoli, Greece

Ouranoupoli is a tranquil Greek village located on the Halkidiki peninsula's gateway to Mount Athos. Known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, it offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. Visitors can explore the Byzantine Tower of Ouranoupoli, stroll along charming streets, and enjoy fresh seafood at local tavernas, all while experiencing the area's rich history and serene beauty.

Day 13: Skopelos, Greece

This picturesque island, made famous by the film 'Mamma Mia!', offers a unique blend of unspoiled nature and traditional Greek culture. Wander through the narrow streets of Skopelos Town with its whitewashed houses and Byzantine churches, relax on dreamy beaches such as Panormos and Kastani, and enjoy delicious local cuisine.

Day 14: Poros, Greece

Poros, sometimes called Kavalria, is very close to the Argolid peninsula. It is home to the Greek Naval Academy, and visitors can listen to the cadet band every morning. Above all, Paros is a gateway to the sanctuary of Asclepius, the Mecca of Greek medicine, and the theatre of Epidaurus, built to host the Asclepias (or Asclepian Games), a competition in honor of the physician god Asclepius. It served as a model for many other Greek theatres.

Day 15: Piraeus (Port of Athens), Greece | Disembark
