We were onboard the Monserrat for 8 days and 7 nights on our Galapagos cruise. It is a first-class motor yacht that provides first-class service to its passengers, has a small crew-to-passenger ratio, and comes at an awesomely affordable price range. It has a total capacity of up to 20 passengers, who can be accommodated in its 6 Upper Double Bed / Twin Cabins with wide windows overlooking the ocean and its 4 Lower Deck cabins with portholes. Two of the Lower Deck cabins have bunk beds that can each sleep three people, while the other two have fixed matrimonial beds.
Snorkeling gear, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are all included in the price of the cruise. Wetsuits are available for an additional fee during our trip, however, they are now included in the cruise package as of the third week of April 2023. At the time of writing this blog post, the only accepted form of payment onboard for bar purchases and wetsuit rentals is cash in US dollars. Each meal was excellent, and delicious snacks were offered to us after each of our excursions.
After a day of exploring the Islands, guests can unwind in Monserrat's numerous social outdoor and interior spaces. There are outside areas with reclining seats, including a sunbathing area on the Upper Deck and a partially covered area on the Sun Deck.
The lounge, which is located on the main deck, features incredibly comfortable couches on each side beneath the panoramic windows. This is where we met with our Naturalist Guide each evening for our discussions and briefings. You could watch TV and DVDs, read books from the little library, and play board games. The ship's bar and a cozy dining area are also located on this deck.
Each cabin has air conditioning, a closet area, a space for our luggage, and nice extras like a hairdryer. You'll love the high-quality bed sheets and towels and the private bathroom with biodegradable toiletries and a nice shower. Not only that, Christina, our room attendant, did a great job cleaning our cabins every day!
I enjoyed how private our experience was, as we were a small group with our Naturalist Guide and the entire crew to ourselves.
One thing to note, though, is that the Monserrat doesn’t have wifi onboard. But who needs it when traveling to the Galapagos Islands with your loved ones?
Kassandra is knowledgeable, efficient and very pleasant to work with.

Claudia does an excellent job of communicating. HOWEVER…you paperwork requirements are constipated — a real impediment to doing business. Fire the lawyers or accountants over that.

The travel planner was very knowledgeable about the countries I will be visiting and was very helpful in booking my trip. It was a great experience in dealing with them - very personable and promptly address any of my concerns.
