Arrive to the Galapagos and transfer to your ship, the Galapagos Legend. Today we cruise to Santa Cruz Island and travel by bus to the Santa Cruz highlands. Here, we visit a giant tortoise reserve where we can view tortoises in their natural habitat.
In the morning we travel to Santiago Island, arriving at the black sand beaches of Egas Port. Marine life abounds here, and if we're lucky, we will spot lobsters, starfish, and fur seals!
In the afternoon we travel to Bartolomé Island, hiking through a stunning volcanic landscape en route to amazing views of the nearby islands. This afternoon affords many wildlife viewing opportunities, including possible encounters with sea turtles and the Galapagos Penguin!
This morning we venture over to Santa Cruz Island and stop at Dragon Hill, an important nesting site for endemic land iguanas. In the afternoon, we visit North Seymour Island, home to Blue-footed Boobies, Frigatebirds and sea lions.
This morning we return to Santa Cruz Island where we stop at Bachas Beach, one of the main sea turtle nesting sites in the Galapagos.
Later on, we stop at Black Turtle Cove, home to four species of mangroves. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of Galapagos wildlife, including sea turtles, herons and white-tipped sharks!
In the morning we travel to Santiago Island, stopping of at Sullivan Bay to explore the extensive lava flows.
In the afternoon we visit Rábida Island and its volcanic, red sand beaches. Be on the lookout for Brown Pelicans during the months of July through September!
Today we explore Isabela Island, stopping at Urbina Bay and Tagus Cove. At Urbina Bay, we explore this volcanic, black sand beach in search of more Galapagos wildlife. Depending on the season, we may even spot some Galapagos tortoises!
This afternoon, we make our way over to Tagus Cove. Here we learn about the volcanoes that formed Isabela Island, and we take a dinghy ride along the shore in search of more amazing wildlife, including Flightless Cormorants and, depending on season, the Galapagos Penguin!
This morning we visit Espinosa Point, on Fernandina Island, in search of marine iguanas, Flightless Cormorants, and Galapagos Penguins! We stroll over lava formations, encountering cacti and mangroves along the way.
In the afternoon we head over to Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island, a great place to spot an abundance of marine life!
This morning we spend time in the Santa Cruz highlands. Here we visit El Chato Reserve where we hope to observe the Galapagos tortoise in its native habitat.
This afternoon we travel to Mosquera Islet, home to one of the Galapagos Islands' sea lion colonies.
This morning we travel to South Plaza Island, home of the Galapagos hybrid iguana. In the afternoon, we visit Santa Fe Island where we search for Galapagos wildlife such as sea lions, iguanas, and the Galapagos Hawk!
Today we explore the island of San Cristobal. In the morning we head to Pitt Point and take a hike up volcanic rock, offering up amazing views along the way! If we're lucky, we might just catch a glimpse of all three Booby species: Blue-footed, Red-footed and Nazca.
This afternoon we stop at Cerro Brujo, an eroding volcanic cone comprised of interesting lava formations. We also visit a lagoon in search of migratory bird species such as the Ruddy Turnstone.
Day 11: San Cristobal

This morning we visit the San Cristobal giant tortoise breeding center to learn more about the Galapagos National Park's conservation programs.
After our visit, you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
