With a menu of excursions to choose from, we decide to focus a good part of our time in Croatia visiting the local wineries! Croatia offers stunning vineyards, quality wines, and memorable cellars. The Croatians love their wine and cherish it. In one cellar, the sommelier told a great story about the cellar master during WWII who hastily created a fake wall in the cellar. He fashioned a mud and stone false front to protect the oldest and most valuable (some worth over 8000 Euros) bottles when the Nazis occupied the area. He efforts paid off. While several cellars were looted or destroyed, the decades old vintages behind the wall were never discovered and some are still kept by the cellar to this day.
Of course no winery visit would be complete without a tasting. We stopped for a snack to try a couple of reds and whites and one winery. Then we headed to a second winery that specialized in white wine where we sipped sparkling wine while walking amongst a wedding party celebrating their reception at the winery that day.
Franny has been such an amazing help with all my trip planning. This is our 3rd trip to plan with her and she is always so willing to assist and find the best deals for my family and friends.

Our advisor at Adventure Life, Mary Curry, was knowledgable and quick to respond with answers to any questions we had. She made our booking efficiently and set up a time for us to make a secure payment through her directly. We’ve used Adventure Life repeatedly and would definitely recommend it.

I selected Adventure Travel as I was not satisfied with the responsiveness of the agent for the cruise I was trying to book and it had good recommendations. So far, I am quite happy with my agent, Betty, very responsive and accommodating.

Jess was great. Our plans changed and we had to make some adjustments and she was super helpful. Finding us a cost-effective alternative to our original trip plan.
