The Kekoldi indigenous reserve is a small iguana farm and medicinal plant garden. As part of the reserve, a local indigenous family dedicates itself to the reproduction of the Green Iguana, a species that was endangered but its numbers are on the rise. After visiting with the family and learning about their operation, head next to the Bri-Bri indigenous reserve. The Bri-Bri family also uses natural plants for medicinal purposes. The farm includes a small chocolate production. During your tour of the farm you will learn how chocolate is important to the Bri-Bri culture for purification rituals, food and medicine. The tour finishes with a stop at a local restaurant for an authentic Costa Rican meal.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
