Head out today to explore over 40 species at the Monteverde Butterfly garden. As you move through the open air garden you have a chance to learn about the life cycles and special behaviors that have allowed these butterflies to adapt into the species they are today. Next explore the Monteverde Orchid garden. This garden is split into three sections. The first section includes miniature orchids. Moving to the next section you will see the more famous Oncidium, Encyclea, Epidendrum and Maxillaria Orchids. The final section of the garden is dedicated to cross pollinated orchids so guests can see the difference between the natural orchids and their hybrid counterparts.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
