Arrive at the Temuco airport where you are met and transferred one hour to Vira Vira Hacienda Hotel, your luxurious adventure base for the next 3 nights. Depending upon arrival time you will have the opportunity to do an afternoon excursion.

All excursions at Vira Vira Hacienda Hotel are included. October through March are prime months for all outdoor activities. But as this is a year round destination, if you are traveling April-September, there are numerous winter activities to enjoy. Excursions range from very easy to very challenging. With the number of National Parks surrounding the property, you never have to drive far. Favorite excursions are a scenic float trip down the Liacura river directly from the property toward Vilarica lake. (This river is also provides world class trout and salmon fishing in season) Horseback riding in the lush native forests of ancient Araucaria trees typical of this zone is also a must. Sea Kayaking high alpine lakes beneath mammoth Volcanoes during the still morning hours is no better way to start the day. The walks and hikes in this area are too numerous to mention, and there are dozens of natural hot springs to soak in after a day of activity. Besides the hundreds of excursions in the area, guests can also walk around the property itself and participate in the Hacienda’ agricultural activities which include a full dairy farm and cheese factory, cooking and bread making classes with the chef, yoga sessions and soak up the night skies from one of the many wood fired hot tubs that dot the riverbanks at Vira Vira.

Depending upon your departure time, enjoy an excursion before transferring back to the Temuco airport. (Note that transfers can be arranged further south to the Puerto Montt airport if you are continuing on to Torres del Paine. Alternatively, direct daily flights to Buenos Aires from Chapelco airport in San Martin de los Andes are possible which is only a 2.5 hour drive from Vira Vira)
