Day 2: Torres del Paine National Park & Brush Lake
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The trip commences with a morning pickup from your hotel at 7 AM. You enjoy a scenic drive to the port, where you board a boat that takes you to the Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers. Prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking beauty of Patagonia's icy giants. Once you arrive at the Puerto Toro dock, it's time to begin your W trek. The journey kicks off with a 4 to 5 hour walk through the enchanting Nothofagus forest. Keep an eye out for diverse flora and fauna in this damp, rainy environment. As the day comes to a close, you are treated to an awe-inspiring panoramic view of Tyndall Glacier and the Macizo of Torres del Paine before settling into the campsite for the night.
After a restful night, you depart from Lago Brush, passing through Lago del Jote and ascending towards Río Serrano. A van picks you up at Río Serrano and transports you to Hotel Lago Grey, where you enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Today, you start a 9 AM navigation to Refugio Grey. From there, you hike towards a lookout point to admire the expansive views of the majestic Grey Glacier. You continue your walk along the shores of Grey Lake, making your way to the northern side of Lake Pehoe. The day's trek concludes with a gentle ascent through undulating terrain, characterized by a mix of grassland and light forest, until you reach Refugio Paine Grande.
Overnight at Refugio Paine Grande’s Campsite, Torres del Paine National Park.
*During Low and Shoulder Season (October and April), the boat trip to Glacier Grey may be canceled, if this is the case, you will be offered a comparable alternative within the park.
*Due to the temperamental weather of the region, boat trips across the lake may occasionally be canceled if the required minimum of 15 passengers is not reached. If this happens, you will embark on a hike along the Las Carretas trail (15 KM) and arrive at Refugio Paine Grande Campsite, where you will rest for the night. On the way to Paine Grande Campsite, you will have the opportunity to walk to one of the Grey Glacier Lookouts.
After enjoying breakfast at Paine Grande, you embark on the challenging trek along a steep trail that takes you deep into the heart of the Paine Massif - the renowned French Valley. You maintain a brisk pace as you make your way to the hanging bridge over the French River, located at the base of the Massif's southeastern face. You continue your ascent to the upper section of the valley, where you are treated to the breathtaking sight of the valley's impressive geological formations: Hoja (Blade), Máscara (Mask), Espada (Sword), Catedral (Cathedral), Aleta de Tiburón (Shark's Fin), and the magnificent Fortaleza (Fortress). After the challenging climb, you take a pause for a picnic to relax and recharge. Finally, you commence your return hike to either Los Cuernos or Francés campsite, where you enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Overnight at Camping Francés or Los Cuernos , Torres del Paine National Park
The trek commences at either Francés or Cuernos Campsites. The trail guides you along the northern shore of the picturesque Lake Nordenskjold, offering stunning views of the majestic Paine Massif and the rejuvenating Nothofagus forest that has previously been affected by wildfires. The trek concludes at Ecocamp Patagonia, where you have the rest of the evening to enjoy at your leisure.
Overnight at EcoCamp Patagonia, Torres del Paine National Park
On your fifth day, you complete the renowned trekking trail in Torres del Paine National Park. Your journey begins at the campsite, where you head towards Hostería Las Torres and make your way up Ascencio Valley, following the Tower's eastern face. Along the way, you encounter mountain ridges, beech forests, and small rivers that adorn the picturesque path towards the valley. Your main challenge is navigating the steep moraine, a vast assemblage of boulders that leads to the iconic base of the Towers. These impressive granite monoliths, remnants of a once magnificent cirque shaped by glacial ice, gradually come into view as you conquer the demanding uphill climb. Witnessing their majestic presence, towering above you, alongside the glacial lake below, is an awe-inspiring sight and an ideal location for a memorable lunch. After savoring the breathtaking panorama, you retrace your steps through Ascencio Valley, following the same trail, and return to EcoCamp, where a well-deserved dinner awaits you.

Good to ideal period to travel, and many people choose to visit at this time.
Chance for unpredictable weather but with fewer visitors.
Typically not offered during this period because of weather conditions.
This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
We were referred by a satisfied client and the booking of the trip was everything we wanted to do, and they listened to the types of hotels, sightseeing, etc. we wanted to do.

Rapa Nui was on my bucket list for a long time so I worried that it would not meet my expectations. Our tour could not have been better. Our guide was knowledgeable and professional with an understanding of the island that made it come alive. I would and have recommended this trip to everyone that will listen.

Mary Curry is the BEST! I have worked with her for multiple family trips for over 10 years, and she is responsive, works within your preferences and budget, has great suggestions and has personal travel experience at many of the locations. We prefer active family vacations and Adventure Life and Mary Curry make sure that is what we get!

My tour operator was helpful. Unfortunately she was unable to get my single-supplement canceled. Not too many tours charge for that anymore and I almost canceled my trip because of that.

Excellent communication and coordination for our proposed trip. It couldn't have been smoother, and any question we did have was rapidly addressed. It has made the whole process nearly seamless.
