Day 1: Osorno Volcano and Petrohue Waterfalls Excursion
This morning, your guide will pick you up in Puerto Varas and transfer you to your starting point. Some of the sites you'll see en route to Osorno Volcano include Llanquihue Lake, the river-mouth of Río Pescado (Fish River), and La Poza and Los Riscos villages. Once you reach the small town of Ensenada you will begin the ascent to Osorno Volcano. After hiking to the Ski Center on Osorno Volcano Mountain (1,240 m/4,068 ft. above sea level) descend and head to Río Petrohué Waterfalls. Here you can walk along the paved path and observe how the river flows among big masses of crystalized lava beds, which were formed by the Osorno Volcano eruptions. Enjoy views of the beautiful turquoise waters of the river and of its surroundings. Finish your tour at the well-known Lake of All Saints (Lago de Todos Los Santos) before transferring back to Puerto Varas.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
