Day 1: Puerto Montt | Embark

Depart from Puerto Montt, sailing through the Tenglo Channel and Llanquihue Archipelago. Pass by Calbuco village and cross Ancud Gulf. Navigate around the Chiloe Archipelago, passing Mechuque, Chauques, Caguache, and Tranqui islands. Continue through Corcovado Gulf toward the southern fjords.

Day 2: Puerto Aguirre | Quitralco Fjord

Travel through the Moraleda Channel before reaching Puerto Aguirre, a remote fishing village in the Guaitecas Archipelago. Its residents have essential city amenities while enjoying the peace of the natural surroundings. Walk through the town and experience local life. Continue sailing through Ferronave, Pilcomayo, and other channels before arriving at Quitralco Fjord. Once an ancient seabed, is surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains and a dense, unique forest with a warm microclimate. Its calm, clear waters create a peaceful setting. Skorpios offers a retreat here, featuring natural volcanic thermal springs with temperatures between 32º and 38ºC. The name Quitralco means “Fire Water” in the local indigenous language. Disembark to explore the area, soak in hot springs, hike forested trails, or take a boat excursion. End the day with a traditional Patagonian lamb barbecue before continuing south through Quitralco Fjord.

Day 3: Pulluche Channel | Penas Gulf | Messier Channel

Navigate Pulluche Channel, Ana Pink Bay. At dawn start crossing of Penas Gulf. End of the crossing, sail through Messier Channel.

Puerto Eden is a fishing village on Isla Wellington, the birthplace of the Kaweskar or Alacalufe people. This tiny village has 300 inhabitants, the majority of whom are small-scale fishermen. This is the place to buy arts and crafts made by the last descendants of the Kaweskar.  Disembark and walk through its streets made of wooden footbridges and its patagonic surroundings. In the evening, set sail toward Pío XI Glacier, navigating through Paso del Indio and Grappler Channel. Anchor and overnight in Pío Xi Bay.

Navigate in front of Amalia Glacier, and disembark on this peninsula to watch the rocks that have been polished by the glacier, its flora, and its surroundings of a taller height. Sail south through the Asia Fjord. In the afternoon, arrive at El Brujo Glacier, disembark, and use exploration boats, toward magma rocks to admire this ice colossus and its tall towers of ice. Navigate to de las Montañas Fjord, through Sarmiento and Union channels.

The trip was terrific with great planning on your part. Most of the adventures were not mainstream and somewhat off the beaten path which made it especially enjoyable!! We felt taken care of and you all were readily available to respond to questions and issues. I would highly recommend your company and friends have already expressed interest based on our pictures and excitement.
