The 76 crew members on the Star Flyer was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. We sat in at the same table every night, so we had the same waiter: Manuel. He was funny, engaging, and remembered all of our preferences. The dinner service was quick and attentive, and they were flexible with reasonable preferences. The bar crew remembered what room numbers travelers were in and their favorite drinks, so they were already prepping a beverage before I sat down at the bar. There was There was a full team of 4 members on the sports crew that set up the water toys before the passengers made it to the beach. If anyone had any questions about kayaking or how to use the sailing dinghy, they were quick to help you try. The cruise director gave nightly talks in the library about the history of sailing, or the history of the ship. The room staff was so quick and thorough, they were like ghosts! By the time you went up and had breakfast, your room was cleaned and ready for the day. When we got back to our room after dinner, there was chocolates on the pillows, the beds are need and tidy, and the night lights were on - a great way to settle down after a long day in the sun.
Be sure to sign up for all the tours, otherwise you will be sitting on the boat since not all stops are moored at a dock. Some are anchored.

There were two best aspects to our trip:
1. The Adventure Life folks and the folks in Athens and Crete who supported our itinerary, guided us, and ran the cooking program were all superb.
2. Everything they all planned for us went without a hitch. When we needed a bit of help, they came through with really good answers.
We became aware of AL from a friend who had an excellent experience in a different location. So did we. We can recommend AL without reservation.

We have used AL for decades now to plan trips. Kassandra has been with us from the start and has never disappointed. She knows our family and our quirks and is always willing to fit the trip to us.
